The tales of the agent - part five

The pondering of Harel - or why Koala is a very strange animal indeed

The agent stood for a while in the darkness of the room, eyeing Koala with interest. It was quite puzzling. The strange animal was sitting there, eating his choclate bar, and quite enjoying it. He should - is was milk mixed with hazlenut, a really good treat.

"You seem pleased" the agent said, and watched Koala jump three feet into the air.

"What are you doing here?" He stammered.

"Well, I WAS hunting you. It should be of no surprise to you that I finally found you".

"But I just saw you leave! With your mother!"

The agent raised his brow in real surprise.

"You thought that was me? Surely you jest. He missed."

"But I thought that was because you are cruel and seeking to prolong my torture..."

"Oh, no, foolish Koala. I loath you, no doubt, but I do not prolong the death unneeded. I DO have other jobs to know."

The agent let Koala digest that for a while.

"It was a pretty good skit, thought. You made the entire chase very convincing. It was really written quite well."

Koala blushed for a while, then turned pale again as the agent eyed bore into him.

"Of course, you DID try to use the jewish polish mother card. If it was really me in there, I would be quite... vexed. That's low, even for you."

Stammering, Koala said: "Then who was he?"

"No idea, but every so often there are a bunch of guys that try to morph to my appearance. The sheer terror my facade brings usually allows them to complete their task quite... effiecently."

"So... now what?"

"Now... nothing."

"What?"

"Look. I've chased you throught countless planets. You ran for your life. Look, you even just soiled yourself. I am not THAT cruel. I'll end your life at another day. For now, let's go out and do something. In fact, I know just the place."

Back in Barad-Dur

"WELCOME, HAREL, WELCOME TO SAURON INN!"

"Glad to be back, Sauron dude, glad to be back. I brought a friend."

"I SEE. HE IS HAIRY AND VULGAR."

"That he is. Koala, meet Sauron, the dark lord."

"yayayayayayayayaya...."

"He doesn't talk much."

"I CAN SEE THAT."

"I see you upgraded your voice to capitals."

"YES. A DARK LORD NEEDS HIS CAPITALS. AND YOUR RECOMMENDATIONS BROUGHT A FLOTILLA OF VISITORS. WE ARE QUITE SWAMPED."

"Glad to help".

"I THINK ABOUT EXPANDING TO THE MARSH BOGS, BUILD A HEALTH SPA THERE."

"Sounds good. So, two rooms, please."

"OF COURSE".

The agent led the bewildred Koala to his room.

"there, there, old chap, relax, it's safe here."

"You... you... are not going to kill me, are you?"

"Oh no", said the agent, smiling while opening the door. "He is".

Wombat stood inside the room, filling it nearly to the brim.

"I believe he wants to talk with you. Something about 'puny minion'?"

Koala turned 180 degrees, and stared at the agent.

"You did this! All of this! Just to get back to me! You said you will never miss just to prolong my pain! You said you are not that cruel!"

Here the agent was filled with holy wrath, and grappled Koala, lifting his from the floor.

"No, I am MORE cruel. Why miss and let you suffer for another minute when I can mess with your mind and let you suffer for another week? A month? Foolish animal. You WILL die. And there are no polish mothers to save you this time. I WILL have my revenge."

He tossed Koala in front of Wombat pews, who snarled.

"Oh, look" the agent suddently laughted. "You soiled yourself again".

The agent slowly closed the door behind him, to the beautiful sounds of screaming and torn limbs. He smiled, and all was well in Middle Earth.

Just wanted to let everyone know I dropped the generic e-mail requesting permission to join the group. I kept it simple and straight forward.

My daughter was born on Sunday. Let me know if anyone would like to see pictures.

The first round of cigars and home made Irish Red Ale is on me. :d :d LOL

Nice one, Harel. Sauron the Innkeeper (in caps!) is a classic! But leaving Killa to face the wrath of an offended "Iron Paw?!?" I have goosebumps...

Welcome to the asylum, Piers!

Well, guys, this icon is definitely my favorite of those shown so far. If we wind up going with this one, I recommend that we nominate the great R. Lee Ermey (a.k.a. "Gunnery Sergeant Hartman" from "Full Metal Jacket") as our first honorary member. If we're doing this badly at diplomacy, we're definitely going to need some help with combat training!

I like this icon a lot too. Trust me, keep this icon. It will help with the recruiting.

Something reminds me of Airborne Rangers, now that was a fun game.

All the best to Special Forces and their invite-only empire! :CONGRAT:

The Non-Prodigal Son Returns

Killa parked his Battleaxe at the spaceport bay 13 and walked, unhappily, to the Special Forces pub.

Obi looked up with a raised eyebrow when the koala limped in. “Where ya been?” He eyed the dishevelled and forlorn koala.
“Just walked from the spaceport”.
“Here, have some chocolate. And why not a cab?”
“Obi! We’re trying to save credits!”
“Oh yea, forgot. And where in the galaxy exactly…?”

“Would you believe Middle-earth?” Killa looked crestfallen. “Just discovered that Wombie is a Sergeant at heart, but Harel has a sense of humour. It’s a lesson I’ll never forget…”
Obi snorted. “The ‘minion’ thing?”
“Yep” said the chastened koala.
“We warned you!”

With a look of chagrin, the dejected koala left the pub. Everyone was against him that day. Every paw raised in rebuke or anger. Killa needed some reassurance from someone who never had a stern word to say to him. Killa decided to get a free meal from mum before trotting home.

Killa’s mum peered at him as he walked in.

“So now it’s dinner you’re wanting is it? You think I have nothing better to do than wait on you hand and foot, you’re a grown koala now, is this what I’ve got to look forward to for the rest of my life? Give to a pig when it grunts and a child when it cries, and you will have a fine pig and a bad child. And when are you going to get married, it’s like a dagger in my heart, I don’t know what to tell Auntie Glen, her Brian is married and he’s younger than you. And what happened to your grooming, you used to be so proud of your fur, is it that Wombat, I told you he’s not a good influence, you should hang out with Quack now there is someone who looks after himself, or that Jaws they’re good lads…”

Killa hunched down with a resigned sigh. Mothers were the same everywhere and this was the price of a free feed.

#208: Oi! Oedipal issues indeed! You what they say: When an elephant is in trouble even a frog will kick him!

Thanks Ray!

Cheers to everyone: You'll be pleased to hear I've run out of inclination to type any further stories for a short while. Killa is hoping to visit Skowbo next!

Welcome Piers.. If you need a hand raising your offspring Wombie has plenty of experience, 14 nippers at last count and Cypher's daughter Ashlyn already has a first class grade one licence in thermo-plasma weapons handling..

Black Smoke... Don't feel as though you have to post in here. If you enjoy playing the game and scoring that's cool, if you want to contribute to thread we'd love to hear your comments.

Ah, I go to sleep for a days after finishing my uni thesis and miss all this...

Just give me a couple more days to recover and plug my brain back in, then I'll finish off the raelians bit, and then I'll take the plunge into bizarro world with the rest of yas :p

Btw, Sergeant Hard says he loves the new icon.

Hey, hey, hey...and welcome...HAREL!!! :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT: :CONGRAT:

Well, we just couldn't let that literary talent languish in some other empire, could we?

Refresh AGAIN - this is the Delta Force icon. I hear that the sgt. stripes is the likely one, but I have one more after this to try. Humour me, OK?....
Like me said, me like delta force icon.

Me do not want to humor Wombat. Me prefer to stuff Wombat with koala parts.

Arrr...

Me go away now until stupid speak goes away too. Me come back smart, or be as smart as before, which not be much.
