How does one score 60,000?

How does one score 60,000?

Just curious about how to get this massive score. I know the setting has to be masochistic, but what else is involved?

O great ones...I am only a humble small map player...sniff, sniff...but a couple of observations:

1. I play on abundant setting - I feel that you chalk up more 'society' points that way; I reckon it would be easier to hit the cap (especially if you are primarily an influence player). My best scores get close to 30k for a small maso (half a gigantic, pretty good IMHO).

2. Alignment bonus - works only if you are Pure Good and they are Pure Evil; my impression is that this is NOT worth as much as in previous versions of the game. Abundant small masos can turn into real knife fights, so sometimes I just have to go with the choices that make the gameplay easier at the time. I dont notice much difference in final scores, to be honest.

Cheers! :)

Interesting . . . thank you both, clicking Start New Civilization now . . . incidently how can you steal the tech "Beyond Human" from a non-Human Civilization > L0L . . . theres a good joke in that somewhere . . . hehe.

Just for kicks, I went to refrigerator, found the cheese, and refished last game. LOL. Hey it's just for fun. ;)

By getting two desirable colony events through the one passenger colonizing a poor pq planet, I was able to go from 77 morality to 97. Then I researched 3 goody (hypertrade, better way, and gal pacifism?)techs, build the trade monument and trade centers. That made the score go from about 52.9k to 53k. Actually it seemed like a lot of work for 100 points but it satisfied my curiosity.

OK, off to a new game.

Also try playing the opposite alignment (well finishing as the opposite alignment realy is all that matters) to the other AIs. This gives your score a big boost too! (i.e. Set all the AIs to evil and finish as Good or Saintly) . . .
End of quote

I think this was what Frogboy wanted, but it seems to be broken. My last three games (maso/large) have one good, one essentially neutral (alignment 51) and one pure evil, all against 5 pure evil AI. They all scored in the 47K range. They were almost identical in all other respects--I missed one or two TGs/wonders in each, beat the AI to most of the techs, and got to about the same point in the tech tree before winning.

Vincible. Does setting all the AI to pure evil still give a better mpts total than the stock morality?

I haven't checked this since 1.05 when setting all the AI to pure evil instead of stock settings added about 2k on a 10k game (total 12k).
