Any News On The Next Patch?

Hopefully they'll get around to it updating soon. Only 2 votes in the United Planets is pretty sad and gets old FAST.

There really should be some option to roll back to a previous stable version. I should be able to re-download and play 1.11.

I believe if you use Archive and Restore through Stardock Central you can. But it would be too late to now since you manually have to archive it while it's available.

Really, they should make all those old files available somewhere, at least for drengin.net subscribers. It wouldn't cost much. I occasionally have a desire to go back and play 1.02.

Gosh fsk please enlighten us as to why the previous updates should only be available to Drengin.net subscribers

Unfortunate sentiment from a veteran. :notsure:

The one thing no one seems to mention is the major bug on the waypoints and diplomacy screen, in fact one would go so far to say its even more annoying than the two choices in the UP ... :notsure:

Go to diplomacy / stats.
click on the trade button so you can see all thier trade routes
double click on one of your stars (so that your on the production section) click on waypoints ...
it still shows the trade routes, and you cant see the little circles to show which waypoint is what, have to reload every time

I have no problem working around the Minimap.

I am sure Stardock is working hard on getting something released.

This is the best game of this class I played.

Same here. I am also amazed at the level of support that is given. Yes, the current patch may be later than they originally planned, yet they do patch it and seem to always be working on making it even better. I am very, very pleased with my purchase.

I really have not had any big bug so far and you see the amount of games I have played, when I get something like a invisible ship, I just save the game and reload and everything is back on track, so really I don't know why someone may dislike the game. I have played quite a few different games and this is the only one where the developers bother to come and sit and listen to what the players have to say, I bought M003 and I wish I didn't, no help, cannot download the patches and many other things that I don't want to talk about it. So Kuddos for Galciv, the best game on the internet.

I bought MOO3 too. Not horrible but quite tedious at best. It does play better with the 1.2.5 patch but still not the way one would want. In fact a lot of posts on their forums point people to GalCiv.

I have not run into some of the bugs. I do have the UP proposition thing where you get the same stuff over and over. Big deal. They will fix it

It is wonderful to find a company that backs their product and continues to support it and improve it.

I waited to buy MOO3 until it was on half.com. I got it for next to nothing and it is worth about that GalCiv is light years ahead...

Agreed. I like Galciv, because you can control almost every single aspect of the game, and that is the right way to control your empire, M003 isnot that way, it is about macro-%$#$% government, you cannot tell your planet build this or that, or better say you can do it but it takes like 300 steps to make the thing going, your ships are like on their own way, you cannot say go here and really see where they are, they engage in battle without you controlling them, bunch of $%$#@# :notsure: that is what the game is worth.

My copy is good for collecting dust bunnies. The manual makes a great drink coaster for the long nights of GalCiv LOL

I bought GalCiv and MOO3 at the same time. Never opened MOO3. Hmmm, there's someone's x-mas present! LOL LOL LOL

I'm morbidly curious about MOO3. I feel like I want a copy just to understand everyone's complaints. I've never seen so much hatred directed toward a game before.

It is a very complicated game, just to give you an example, some government is sending spies to destroy or kill your scientists, you don't have a way to increase your police or even how to create a police force to ensure estability in your planet, that stinks!!! if you can have spies, you should be able to have a way to defend yourself against them, specially when they are not only stealing technology but also killing your scientists, destroying your buildings, etc.

Tell me about it!! I never opened my copy because of what I've read in this forum. :notsure:

do yourself a favor and dont! get your money back if you can. Galciv is !far! superior in every way!
