CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 12 for $99!!!

WOOHOO!!

It arrived today by way of DHS! I had to fight for the price, but it was worth the fight! I am a preschool teacher and I contacted several venders to see if I qualified for the teachers/student version of CorelDRAW Graphics Suite 12, but to not much avail. Most all told me that I had to be a taecher of a K-12 public school system. Well, those venders lost out in the bargain, because I eventually called Corel themselves and they told me that yes, indeed, if my school was licensed under my state's Department of Education then I would indeed qualify. After I acquired my school's licence number, I called back Corel and purchased the suite, minus the paper manuel, for $99!! But, I was able to purchase that official CorelDRAW manuel from Amazon.com for $32.

Not only that, but because I bought directly from Corel, I recieved the cd's to both Photoshop Album 5 (valued at $49), and Corel Knockout 2 (valued at $99) for free! Yikes!

I've spent the last 3 or 4 weeks trying out the trial version, while trying to follow along with Paul Boyers CorelDRAW videos and icon tutorials.

I still feel quite poor in relation to the skills that Paul has, but, today, in all matters of online shopping and bargain hunting, I feel like a RICH WOMAN!
Of all the places I searched, as far as finding a full version, not OEM, the place that had the full version for the cheapest price was:http://www.buybusinesssoftware.com/cogrsu12re.html

You can get academic software for real cheap if you qualify. Coreldraw 12 is too much, so I bought CorelDraw Essentials 2.

Congrats, 47songs.

I drool every time I drop by the University of Washington's Computer store and see all those amazing prices for the really good, really expensive software (about 25% of cost to regular consumers - including Adobe, Microsoft, Corel, Sony).

It pays to be a student or teacher in a lot of ways.

Thanks, and I agree, Corky_O. I have a degree in education and yet I don't make enough to support a family of birds, let alone a family of humans! Heh! Since that is the case, I will take advantage of getting this kind of software for this kind of money for as long as I can.
