How to bring down the special forces

The true power behind the elitist "special forces" is not it's leader Wombat but Ginata el Bohemio. In short the only reason that the special forces are on our tail is beacause of her. In short Ginata is a real threat to our place as most powerful empire. Something will need to be done.

I'm afraid that the only way to stop her is for her to resign from an Empire and go independent. (This is not really stopping her but rather taking her out of the race)

If you could somehow turn her addiction off

We will have to find her a new game to play... but what? :notsure:

'Smatter....feeling nervous? Ginata is a superstar, but we have a solid crew, currently largely on holiday - the wizards score would look sick without one of their top players too. Mmmm...I wonder if goblin cookies taste nice...with mulled wine....

Without one of our top players, we'd still be number one.
Anyway, in the event of an outbreak of war, I'll treat all the SF to my guide to giving up addictive civilization games. The first step is admitting you have a problem...

The Fellowship has ruled far longer than your so-called "empire" has existed. Our benign hegemony has brought order to an otherwise chaotic Metaverse. Our fleets control the major galactic resources, our technology lead is large and growing, and the Metaverse Review has spread our influence to every sector of the galaxy.

We are not threatened by the self-important blather of a puffed-up minor power.

Need I remind you it was one of YOUR warriors who started the blather, due to their apparent insecurity? Yes, the Fellowship has brought a soporifically dull, colourless quality to the top of the table; attractive to some but to others a tawdry and unimaginative exploitation of a string of recent popular travel films and an old book. Go ahead, collect your mindless Aragorn wannabees who are no doubt in reality are hobbit-like geeks with no social life.

Only some can be....Special.

Oh boy, looks like I need to start playing again.... [goes to locker and starts strapping on combat gear]

;p ;)

I hope most of this is tongue in cheek . . . ;) .

The only thing that concerns me is the old prophecy (some oldtimers may recall it) . . . you know, the one about Bimbo51 returning to the Metaverse to submit all her three hundered and thirty three scores at once . . . (shudder) causing an apocolyptic chain recation all over the globe of compulsive loin cloth and toga wearing the likes of which the Earth has never seen!

Every point I eak out that brings me nearer the one million mark steers us all away from that hideous fate of ill portence . . . mmm toga parties . . . NO!

We have 13 overlords how much of a threat are we to the Fellowship Propanga Machine with 80 overlords?

The metaverse is sort of a dull place now.... and it pretty much has been since the beta of the expansion. That's why the Special Forces were formed. We want to keep the friendships alive that have been developed here - and we are actually branching out into other game since interest this game seems to be slowing down (though hopefully the Altarian expansion will change this.) The best part of Galactic Civilizations for me and others has been the online community -- and the purpose of the Special Forces is to have a place for people to continue these friendships (ever current Special Forces member is a veteran of other empires).

We're not elistist. We'd be happy to have other members, but we're looking for people to keep in touch with for a longer period of time -- not just this game. We do socialize with member from nearly every empire and people not in empires, so I don't know how exclusive we are.

Having an invite only empire let's us keep a group of folks who are going to be involved.... and who we have formed real life friendships with that we'd like to continue.

I apologize to those who feel excluded -- that is certainly not our intent and if you have an interest in joining - you're welcome to contact our leader, the Iron Paw (Wild Wombat).

Happy New Year,

Cypher

Well I’m not joking! New planks ‘r being installed on the Doom for hairy hobbits’ feet. ‘Special’ overlords will now find shards o’ glass along our keel. As G.R.O.S.S. cellars fill beyond capacity, the Euros ‘ll watch their last bottles o’ fine wine ‘n hearty beer smashed against the rocks. Farmers won’t be losin’ their harvest this season, they’ll be losin’ the very soil they live on. Twi'lik ‘n Trandoshan porn is being mass produced for Coruscant. Need I go on?!?! Be afraid! Be very afraid!!!

...and stop laughing!

Welcome to the Fellowship, Goblin! You should stop by the Fellowship thread http://www.galciv.com/forum.asp?BID=GF&id=100627 and introduce yourself! You've certainly gotten into the role-playing pretty quickly! LOL

Yep - anyone who wants to make us an offer (and can bring their own wookie porn) can contact me at: [email protected]

Except you, GoblinCookie. You're excluded. Absolutely. Aww well...maybe we'd consider you...I guess...

Rule Britannia Britannia rules nowhere. But we'll never, never, never, never, never join Wombat and be slaves!
(Britannia can be suplemented by Arcea, Toria or even Carinoidia)
My mum tells me I'm going completely insane.

Petty that the Fellowship of the Ring and the Special Forces Empires can't destroy each other, would be most convenient for the Euros :D

We will take back 1st place!!
