I'm only writing this,
because I know what day it is today,
so I can write it on the top,
of this page,
on which,
I am currently writing.
If tomorrow comes around,
I won't need to consult my calendar for weekly orientating,
I'll simply flip to the last page,
of this notebook that bares,
what will then be,
yesterday's date,
written on the top,
of that page,
on which,
I am currently writing.
When many days may pass,
I'll have to add them up,
to figure out how many days have passed,
since social limitations or failing health,
kept me locked securely between the covers of this notebook.
Smiling to myself,
because I could remember what day it was,
on what was once a today,
I wrote it on the top,
of this page,
on which I have finished writing.
