I'm just wondering what the point of joining an empire is?

Is there something in it for me? What exactly is the point? (not trying to sound greedy or any thing :))

By the way, if this post some how was offesive to you, im sorry I did not mean for it to seem like I dont like empires, just wondering what they are about :D

Hi Theo, don't listen to those guys....join the European Alliance, we have 5-6 members who posts everyday (in our forum http://euro.galciv.org/forums/index.php) and around 20 players who posts a game every second week.
