nope but the download was only 20M (from version 1.2 update)

it took about 45 minutes on 56k dialup

...Ok... well maybey sometime ill get it ...when im 18 [2 years one month from now]...or ill get a friend/realitive to get it for me , using their cards while i pay em in advance or somthing.

Just wondering, I don't have a credit card either and I live outside of America so can't send money or a check, is there anyway to buy the expansion in Australia or will I never be able to buy it???

is to be understood, but it could mean a check in USD.

In other words you can get your bank to issue a check in USD (from your account). They will most likely charge a fee for issueing the check.

You can go to your bank and ask them to write you a money order in US Funds, they can do it, here at work we get money orders from Australia.

Yes Stardock announced officially that they will sell the expansion on retail stores. Great!!!!

Now what I'm wondering is, does the fact that Strategy First is publishing AP mean that Stardock finally got paid all that they were owed for the retail sales of GalCiv? It seems to me that they wouldn't deal with Strategy First again if that weren't the case. Or was this issue resolved a while ago and just not mentioned where I could see it?

I have not seen this point mentioned anywhere, so maybe they paid back what was owed. Or they realized what a good product they will loose if they didn't pay.

Bloody marvellous! Thank you, Stardock, the options you give us is either one hazards putting one's credit card details over the Web or go to the extraodinary and expensive hassle, if you live in the UK, as I do, of buying expensively in dollars an expansion pack which one would reasonably have expected to be on sale in UK shops! This was the dilemma I faced with Space Empires IV which I eventually decided to avoid, despite how good I heard the game was!

I, as an English fan, have learned my lesson, as have I think many other UK fans, who bought this game in the shops over here on the understanding that Stardock would be committed to the game both sides of the Pond for a minimum of two years.

I am DISGUSTED!
