The Ultimate Spider-Man website has gone live and offers a bit of media for your viewing pleasure. The newest Spider-Man game is to be based on the comic book of the same name and follow Spider-Man as he takes on fan favorite, Venom. To spice up the newest web-slinging game, developers Treyarch and Vicarious Visions have enabled players to play as either side of the battle. The site hosts a handful of screenshots, the E3 video, and promises to offer more goodies including an overview on the game and behind the scenes material in the coming months.
Ultimate Spider-Man is being designed using cel-shading to closely match the comic book and will come out for almost every platform imaginable including PC, PS2, Xbox, GameCube, GBA and DS. The site didn't contain a noticeable release date anywhere but EBGames.com has it listed with a September 1st release date while former competitor Gamestop has a September 13th release date.
