JoWooD has announced that it will be closing Massive Development GmbH, its internal development studio based out of Mannheim, Germany. JoWooD says that the closure is part of an announced plan to reduce costs and optimize the product portfolio. The main optimization will come with the selection of games that JoWooD wishes to produce, mostly titles that are to be a hit with the international market.
The company has also stated that the title currently under production at Massive Development is already in its final stages and will not be affected by the closure.
