Menus changed icons and color

Not sure how far I'm into the game, Nov 2201, is the date but I forget when it started. For some reason all the menu buttons along the bottom and on the side changed both coloring and icons. Take the ships button for example. Before it was three bluish-white triangles of the same size in a triangular pattern on an off-white tannish background. Now the icon is three blue triangles of different sizes still arranged in a triangle pattern but on a white background. Also, the font for the word Treasury also changed. Not sure what's going on but just making sure its noted.

I forgot to mention that I'm using version 1.05 (finally got it to download by using a download manager)

Sounds to me like you have changed from the neutral interface to the "Good" interface. Well done.
You may suspect that there is something similar that happens when you are tending to be "Evil" but I won't spoil the surprise :)

OH!...was this something that I missed in the manual? I had no idea the interface changed depending on your 'alignment'

Yeah, you must have missed it.

"Tip: You can see your current morality rating under Stats on the Domestic Policy tab – it ranges from
demonic (0) to angelic (100). Humans start out with a morality rating of neutral (50). When your
morality is over 80, the user interface becomes WHITE, and at below 20, it is RED, reminding you
of your (extreme) moral nature."

I think it should be Sainty instead of Angelic.
