Michael Wilson Pissed at Book

Sues Random House Over Masters of Doom

Ferrago has caught wind of a new video game lawsuit, only this one has nothing to do with violence. Michael Wilson of Ion Storm has sued Random House over the id Software biography, Masters of Doom, due to some of the books accusations. In the book, written by David Kushner, Wilson is alleged to have used shady business tactics to buy himself a BMW with company money, Wilson obviously denies such claims.

"There's nothing they could have possibly said that could be more damaging," states Wilson. "This is an industry publication read almost exclusively by my peers in the industry." He goes on to say that the allegations made against him "were made with actual malice knowing that such statements were false, or with reckless disregard for the truth."

Wow, this is pretty nasty. I'm surprised Random House would have allowed that kind of stuff to be published without some serious evidence to back it up. They had to know what would happen.

Well controversy over books usually helps sell them but I mean for a book like this I don't know how many ppl may purchase it for that reason.
