Off-beat Adventure Game Gets Sequel

Digital Eel and Shrapnel Games have announced that the off the wall space adventure Weird Worlds is getting a sequel. Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space is to be published by Shrapnel Games under a new publishing contract. The new adventure no longer promises to allow you to "Explore the galaxy...in 20 minutes or less!" but has instead flipped its predecessor motto, "Explore the galaxy...in 20 minutes or more!" Return to Infinite Space promises to be "bigger, prettier, more detailed, deadlier" than the last.
The majority of Return will be played as a turn-based game where you control a single starship. That is until you finally make contact, where the game will go into real-time for combat equipping you with a sizable arsenal. Digital Eel has designed Return with an open-ended mindset, new maps are created for each new session and users are given tools to create any kind of mod they choose. Weird Worlds: Return to Infinite Space is blasting off to PCs in the near future and has been tagged at $24.95.
