Metaverse Score

Your player name with the metaverse appears to be Bob, not Bob Harris.

Yes, my player name is Bob; but you can not search for scores by my player name of "Bob". Scores are sorted by Nickname (I think)not player name. My nickname (and name) is "Bob Harris". If you click on my nickname "Bob Harris" in this post you will be taken to the details of my scores using the player name "Bob". Just as if I were to click on your nickname in this post I will be taken to a page displaying the scores for Jane Smith using the playername "PontuisBruinPilot" (which also happens to be your nickname). If I were to reregister using my other Player name "Harrybanana" then when you click on my nickname "Bob Harris" in this postyou will be taken to a screen which displays scores for my Playername "HarryBanana". It is all very confusing having a "Name" a "Nickname" (which may or may not be the same as either your name or your player name) and a "Player Name"). If I have this wrong somebody please correct me.

But anyway, this all still doesn't answer my question of why if you do a Metaverse search under the name "Bob Harris" it shows me as having played only 2 games with an overall score of 89 when in fact I have played 4 games with an total score of over 11,000. Can anyone answer this?

I can't answer exactly, but the Metaverse really only shows your best game. The game number is the sequential number of the game in which you got the highest score. What happens if you rank according to average score?

Damon, I don't think it is true that the metaverse only shows your best game. If this were true my score would be 10,500. Your Metaverse Overall score is also not really the total of all of your scores, or else your score would be 31452. Your actual Metaverse score is exactly 1/2 of this ie 15726. I think the more games you play the larger the divisor. I get no search result for "Bob Harris" when I rank by average score; I assume I have not played enough games.

Average Score requires 10 games or more to be posted. I assume you can find yourself elsewhere?

You need 10 games before average score kicks in. I have no answer for your mismatched player record, Bob. That is a question that should be e-mailed to customer support. But I can tell you that the default scoring mechanism is set for sum of all game scores divided by the square root of the total number of games. Games from older versions before 1.05 are somehow weighted differently because scoring was undergoing radical changes in the earlier versions, and score degradation starts taking place for games older than two months. (I think it is two months. I am not entirely sure there.)
