Take-Two/Rockstar Sued

Look Take-Two is in the News!

Take-Two enters the news again today, again related to the Hot Coffee mod incident. Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games are now being sued by a grandmother who bought her grandson Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas last December, when it was still rated as M for Mature. ESRB rating system explains that M games are for people 17 years or older yet the grandmother bought the game for a 14 year old.

Florence Cohen, 85, of New York has sued the publisher and developer due to the two engaging in false, misleading and deceptive practices and has sought unspecified damages for herself and consumers everywhere. Cohen went as far as to say that the companies should give up their profits from the game due to false advertising, consumer deception and unfair business practices. Laurence D. Paskowitz, the lawyer who filed the lawsuit for Cohen said no parent would knowingly buy an adult-only video game for their children. At least Paskowitz had a level head, asking that the company offer refunds to those who would like one.

Let me get this straight:  "no parent would knowingly buy an adult-only video game for their children" but they'd knowingly buy a Mature video game with murder, cop killing, drugs, etc? Anyone else see how totally ludicrous this case is?

Yea I was waiting for someone to point that out...

Yeah I read the article , it makes no sense, that she would willingly buy the M rated game for the 14 year old, then complains a few months later over this.

Because this country can't handle sex thats why, violence is more or less tolerated...

It is strange that everyone's getting upset by one of the few parts of the game that depicts an activity that is in no way illegal to engage in. I seem to recall all such characters in the game being of adult age, and also seem to recall consensual sex between adults as legal in the entirety of the US...
Compare that to crack houses, graffiti, drive-by shootings, cop killing, vehicular manslaughter, etc...
What's the problem?

I am going to be a little stupid here but I think I know the reason:

Because this country can't handle sex thats why, violence is more or less tolerated...

So violence and EVERYTHING else I guess...
