As part of the move to the Sony Online Entertainment world, The Matrix Online has announced that the nine realms players currently used will be merged to create three more densely populated realms. The merger will come as follows: Enumerator, Heuristic, Input will become a new Hostile World, while Method, Regression, Iterator, and Proxy, Linenoise, Output will both become Normal Worlds.
To accommodate the merger players will be given a total of three character slots on the each new world, and if you had less than three characters then you can create a new one. Crew and Faction data will be carried as well, and any conflicts will have a tag appended to it. The names will be changeable, so long as you contact customer service.
Last but not least comes the bonuses for dealing with the transition. Players will be able to gain extra experience and even extra money, called $Info in the game, for a short period after the new worlds come online. XP bonuses will also apply to missions as well as gangs with $Info bonuses coming from gang NPCs only. Players should also leave space in their inventory because they will be given a free pass to redo their attributes, the RSI Attribute Reconfiguration Hack. The Matrix Online will be bringing the worlds together on August 2nd.
