how to get the equilizer to work??

hi...

i have made a mp3 player, and i have added a button called eq, where i can ajust the sound, bass, treble, left or right and so on. but i cant get i to work with my mp3 player, it only works when i turn winamp on, can any budy tell me why this happens...

I found out the other day when I was working on my player that it is based on the type of players you have installed on your machine. For example the only reason that the eq will only work with WinAmp is do to the plug-ins that DX looks for. There are several readme text files that you can look through for the commands and which players it operates.
go to programfiles/stardock/objectmedia
there are two text files that should have all the info you need; objectmedia.txt, and dxplayer.txt
objectmedia.txt has troubleshooting info and common questions.
dxplayer.txt has the listing of the commands and which player they work with.

its possible it could be in your Object Desktop directory depending on where you installed desktopx..
