Not sure what the dock zone edition is.

You will need the ObjectDock Plus version Link to have tabbed dock functions.

The basic process to use new backgrounds/tab is to download the file and extract it to your ..\ObjectDock\Backgrounds folder but in a new folder named accordingly.

After that you can select the newly installed tabs/background from OD by open the dock settings and select: Tabs & Styles->Style. This which will show a list that includes your newly downloaded background.

In the same dialog are the "Add Tab" & "Remove Tab" buttons which you can use to (Guess What?!) add & remove tabs!

I think he menas that the plus version lets you have tabbed docks in addition to non-tabbed (i.e more than one on screen at once). The non-plus version lets you only have one dock (tabbed, or not IIRC).

The free version does not support tabbed docks, among other things. https://www.stardock.com/products/objectdock/
