I've loaded both up and am not experiencing any problems. Could you elaborate on your situation? Which program do you load first? Do you have to do anything to make this happen?

Which version of Object Dock and Windows (including service packs) are you running?

Thanks for responding, I am lauching itunes from OD+ via a shortcut, if I then move itunes around, overlap another window on it or if OD+ overlaps it, parts of the itunes window goes black. The degree of the problem ranges from almost entirly black to minor areas. The problem occurs if I lauch itunes from OD+ or from explorer. It very definitly goes away if I unload OD+ and then minimise and restore itunes. This problem did not occur prior to itunes 5.0 or 5.01. I can send a screenshot if that would help, just let me know an email address or upload technique.

My machine is running XP SP2 with the latest windows update stuff, the graphics card is a GeForce FX 5700LE, once again with the latest drivers and the processor is and Athalon model 15 2200Mhz

thasnk you

I'm still not experiencing the issue over here. I've installed iTunes v5.01, ObjectDock 1.20a.015. There a shortcut I placed in my ObjectDock tray to iTunes, and after launching the program I have not experienced this issue.

I've attempted overlapping the window, activating a window that was behind iTunes to completely hide iTunes and then both moving it and minimizing it to reveal iTunes. Finally, I tried minimizing iTunes and then maximizing it again.

It sounds like your window is getting the message to redraw, but is not getting the information it needs to redraw. (in other words, it's redrawing parts it needs to, but with black)

How much memory do you have installed on your system (also how much free space on your hard drive)?

You might want to run a bootable memory test utility: Floppy <Link> or CD <Link>

Memory is 1Gb and disk space is > 200Gb, i will try your your suggestion of the memory test utility. The problem only happens on my desktop machine, a similar set up on my laptop is fine so I am as confused as you. However the problem is definitly only present while OD+ is loaded, stops when it is unloaded and started after I installed ITunes 5 and has stayed with ITunes 5.01. My guess is that it is related to the graphics card and some sort of clash between Itunes writing to screen and OD+?? I also have windowblinds running, but the problem is still there if I unload WB??

Thanks for the help and effort, I do appreciate it.

I have had the same problem, only with the freeware version of 1.2. I have a very new Dell desktop with XP sp2. When I installed iTunes 5.0, there was obviously some kind of conflict. I had not closed Object Dock OR Konfabulator 2.1.1 before running the iTunes installer. Perhaps it is the 3 together, I don't know. iTunes wouldn't install until I had closed them both, b/c it said it needed to change files that were open by another program and named both.

After that, I had the same problem with with big, black, retangular areas within the iTunes 5 window. They were worst along the bottom, and I had to keep iTunes small to even use the controls on the bottom edge. The fonts in the song list windows also got messed up, as if the computer was overwriting the text without erasing it first, resulting in a black mess of overlapping type. Overall, it seemed like the display would not properly draw or refresh iTunes.

I reinstalled Object Dock and it seemed to work fine afterwards. Kudos on that.

Returning to an older version of iTunes fixed the black box problem but did nothing for the text problem. Likewise, the latest iTunes 6.0 has improved things somewhat; installing that fixes the black boxes but I still have the overwriting problem with text inside the song list. It mainly happens if I am running another program, and alt-tab back to iTunes. I can easily fix the problem by minimizing/remaximizing it, but it just reoccurs. It's ugly and never used to happen. At this point it's annoying more than anything, but I love Object Dock and iTunes and I want them to be friends. I think Object Dock and iTunes share some Windows files in common. Would you happen to know which files control on-screen text in the way I have described?

Thank you
