GalCiv Haiku

Humans show backbone,
Relations drop to wary.
Drengin dreadnaughts lurk.

Yes, Torian fools,
Indulge in all the sins of
My party palace.

No worries. It was the sort of thing kamikaze pilots wrote before getting in their planes and flying of to die.

Hurls, you're evil.

BlueSteel, I've found that if one's gotta ask, even when one gets a compliment it is not quite the same. You know, like asking a partner "Do you love me?"

I wasn't looking for a compliment... I was asking for opinions... as that was my first ever attempt at anything like it. (writting any sort of poem etc) .. and just wanted some feedback before i have another go at it..

Crikeys. That is something that's dangerous. Asking for 'opinions' and 'feedback'. You're a brave man.

Somewhere on the Acrean home world of Vizzard . . .

Look Mummy, Look!
There's another moon up in the sky!
Why does it frighten you so?

Oh incidently I liked your Hykoo BlueSteel, but I don't know why?

Your good reviews were an inspiration to me. My thanks to you both.

across dark light years
lies the invisible dot
that I once called home

Rhyming haiku - on beating GalCiv in the max difficulty mode:

Masochistic game:
Will whoever chose that name
hang his head in shame?

Haiku inspired by playing at Masochistic again and losing

which stupid fool gave
hyperdrive technology
to those Drengin scum?

Everything we know about space warfare we learned watching Star Wars

our terror star looms
secure from lone star-fighters
we bricked up that trench

(Stupid damn haikus. Once you’ve started doing them it’s so hard to stop…
Notice how even my titles have seventeen syllables in each?)

All these emotional, poetic men. :)

You belong with me, where you would be appreciated.

Not with these uncouth, aligator wrestling, beer swilling....better not go on. :(

Blue Steel. I thought your poem, brilliant.
You are so clever....Sigh.

Good ones, Matthew.

Now where did I leave those Altarian Stars?

Burning, starry void
Yet ever full of fury
Homeworld embattled

Dreadnoughts unfolding
For courageous warriors
Death comes calling now

Poetry is not somthing you pen
for opinions, compliments or Drengin
It flows from your heart, and makes you smile
And if no others join in, it still is worthwile
For once you touch, that thing inside
The Viraxian Ascension, is where you'll reside.

I know its not HighKoo butt . . .

There was once a Dreadlord from Abraxis
His ship caught by a blackhole's geotaxus
On the blackhole he did land, turned his ship into a can
And was left sitting on his very flattened butt-cracksus . . .

:p

Yor Haiku:

Zero one one one
one one one one zero. One
zero zero one!

(approximate translation:

The galaxy is
not a tidy place. Let us
cleanse it of all life!

There are only 10 kinds of people in the galaxy. Those that understand binary, and those that don't.

Anomalous search
Autumn madness has begun
Bitter pain, lost hope.

Now THAT's an authentic Haiku, couslee.
Mentioned a season, I didn't understand it, sounded depressing.

Theoden, haven't you ever read any of the deeply moving Quake poetry boards? eg:

Scent of rocket fuel
See, a wisp of azure smoke
Take that you smacktard!
