How do you become "Exiled"?

Exiled isn't the highest rank.  It just sorts that way because if you're using an unsigned integer, -1 becomes a really big positive number.  If you get exiled from the metaverse, it usually means that you cheated.  We haven't had to do that very often. Exile from one of our forums generally means that, even after warnings, disobeyed forum rules.  Harassing the admins can also earn you exile. And I do mean harrassment, not just simple annoyance.

Btw: a bit off topic but always wandered - how you become a "diplomat" here at forum (or was it ambasidor?) ?

To get Diplomat (or Ambassador), be good and helpful enough (or contribute positively in some other way that stardock recognizes) to get promoted not once but twice (or thrice). Of course, that alone is no guarantee since there is no set criterion for promotions, but it would be a good start.
