Can I rename planets?

I hate having to stick with "Star name II" and all that, is there a way to rename PLANETS?

Sure!

When you colonize one, it pops up a window that you can change the name on. :)

He's refering to planets rather than systems, I believe.

Oh, I see...yes, if you change the system name it will still say StarName I, StarName II

Do we really want to rename planets inside of star systems? I think it would be confusing.

I wish you could (:( . It would be really awesome if I could name all the planets in a system. I would make so many planet names...

It would be useful to rename planets with that obtained special colonization bonuses eg. production, starship, etc.

Or the ones with specific TGs/Wonders built on them.

Last game I played, a planet "Evenstar I" wah a level 40 planet, my economic, technological, and research capital, and could produce an Excalibur in 3 months flat. I wanted o give it a fitting name :(
