Just another idea...

Well another idea i've been having...See the skinning world is wide and many sites participate in it. Many sites, many registration forms to fill in.

The idea: Is it possible for some if not all sites to interconnect in a big coalition, creating a broad database of users, so that one user can register as member with all the sites belonging in the coalition? Would this be something helpful for the skinning community?

Arguments for:
- Ease of use.
- Less network resources used for all sites.
- Ability to be known with one name in all sites. Uniquness.
- Less forms to fill in for end-users.
- Ability of interconnection of libraries and site cooperation.
- Instant news reports for all sites.

Arguments against:
- May be financially difficult.
- Some company might try to take advantage of this financially.
- In case of crash in main database the skinning world will suffer severe blow.
- Different sites,different databases.

Well what do you think?

Utopia would have one 'country' enveloping the world, too...but it's unlikely to happen.

Each Skinning site is an individual and will have tenets which differ from others...and that 'demand' separation and individuality.

The idea of one registration to join all won't work fundamentally because a person 'may' transgress one site's rules of conduct and be 'exiled' and find himself removed from all the sites...even when other sites may not agree with his 'transgression'.

The mechanics of 'unity' would be unweildy, more so than the efforts involved in simply joining each site separately...
