You can play semantics all you want and even cite antiquated dictionary definitions. Z-order is a matter of the coders preference and does not directly categorize what a program is or does... And for the record, Stardock makes programs which have Z-orders that can be changed like Desktop Aquarium which is often marketed as a screensaver. Dreamscenes ARE video screensavers playing in desktop space... LOL Anyone claiming otherwise is just trying to hype this up. And there have been tv tuning software to do this LONG before vista and even 1 other application which could do this despite taking up large resources... Stardock Design's free to non-free ratio so far is 6 to 1 - kudos. But free content shouldn't be held over people's heads to encourage them to buy premium content...one's apples...one's oranges. Not to mention premium content SHOULD be just that...a step above anything given away free. I don't think animated wallpaper is going to be the next "big thing" by any means. Finally someone @ StarDock has admitted they haven't recreated the wheel or made miracles happen.

Cough...fraps...cough...cough... 1) after 10 minutes this idea put into practice gets annoying 2) its really a useless feature until they integrate some form of knowledge into the background desktop (i.e. stock market ticker, sports scores etc) 3) it will put useless wear on your hardware 8% system resources or 80% 4) stardock "created" desktopx widgets for the things mentioned in my point #2 5) will for once in its career, this company admit 2 thing

Dude, 3rd party companies OCASSIONALLY make a good app but most are trash and run terribly. Then the author says its the end user's pc or limitation in microsoft's os that is the problem and not their software... There's no doubt stardock has some good software but can you guys stop saying stuff like this: We had this feature in before Windows Vista added it. Mouse over previews of what's in the taskbar. It would be nice if these were a bit more professionally done... Or minimally the person doing the vocal navigation of such short videos were to be MORE ARTICULATE and sound less intoxicated...slurring of one's speech takes away the focus of what is being said about such a great product. Just a quick note... After installing SP2 Build 2180... The built in IE popup blocker works amazing! Almost like they described NEVERTRUST would! Blocking ACTIVE X installation requests is almost as if they dont exist at all!!!

SO you're saying ALL THOSE OTHER STAR WARS bootskins came with prior consent or release from LUCASARTS? You don't have to prove anything to me but I WOULD LOVE to see this... I am totally shocked at the "copyright" policy this site claims to adhere so closely to concerning any and all submissions... I mean policy is policy and I totally understand the legal ramifications of international trademark and copyright infringement.
