Hmm... Gluten causes severe burns to my small intestine, and can result in you basically dying of malnutrition.... While Gluten may not be a poison to all, to those of us with Celiac, consuming it on a regular basis can result in malnutrition and even death. I am using poison in a figurtive sense not a technical.... It causes severe damage to me. The same way somone may say a certian type of music is "poisoning" a generation. Get it?

Ick! Can I put that on my organ donor card? Take my organs not my whole body? EEK!
Oh I def. think my cats are very self aware. My littlest cat shows jelously like no one I have seen, Our other cat shows his annoyance with us if we interuppt his nap by making noise.
Link I read the above article this morning in SHOCK. I have celiac disease that requires I stick to a strict gluten free diet. McDonalds has been representing their fries as gluten free for years. I probably eat their fries 3 times a week. I am so upset as I am finding today the
That is actually my mom in her funky coat. (Jayna's grandma) hehehe
In honor of the coldest day of Jayna's life. (15 degrees below 0) We bought her an igloo from Ikea! She loves playing in her little "snow fort". Grandma Jill pops in to play~
Very cool! Whens the race?
What is your routine when its time for sleep? Babies do well with consistency, so that they know "okay we are doing this so its slepp time". For example we put on the same cd of soft classical music before nap and every bedtime. We do quiet thing to undwind. Read a book, rock in the chair with lights out and nurse. 3 1/2 months is a big growth spurt time also. He may be learning a new skill. With his new awareness of the world, he may not want
Jayna has been waking up with a dry diaper a lot lately. I have read a bit about ec-ing (mostly because I thought it was a joke) and thought she would maybe like to be diaper free somtime
http://www.attachedtobaby.com/photos/jaynasmama/picture11871.aspx Click the above link to see my cutie pie! Jayna is now 7 months old! I can't believe it! She is so busy and cutting her first tooth. She loves to dance, and LOVES music. She gets cuter by the day! She is still nursing, but is starting to have some other favorite foods. S
Oh wow Karen that is the coolest most bad-ass baby blankie! If you wanted to knit one for my little bad ass, I would happily pay you for it! email me!
I went to a party like that, and it was so fun! The lady that did ours was pretty plain also. She was a high school teacher! I wonder if any of her students knew about her side job?
Yesterday Little Jayna had a milestone. One that was certianly noticed, and yet there is no spot in the baby book to record such a feat! She had her first solid poo. A little formed turd right in her diaper. Is it weird that I felt the urge to record such a moment? I restrained myself from photographing the event... and instead sent it on its way to
How do you eat that? Do you eat the whole fish head and all or just certian peices?
Jayna had her half year check up this week. She is 28 inches long and in the 97th percentile for height. She has gained 9 pounds in the last 6 months! She is growing so fast (to fast if you ask me!) She is sitting up now, loves to eat puffed brown rice, sweet potatoes and mama milk. She drinks from a cup quite well. She can zoom across the room by barrell-ro
Well your article was a sucsess I am soooooooooooooo jelous. Time to grab a swearer. hehehe
My dad mostly talked about how opptimistic he was for the plant to stay open, and how it would be good to change it to hybrid vehicles because they are already a green plant that produces its own energy. He focused on the positives, and how it was important to not focus on rumors but we knew they would edit. They make the announcment monday, so heres hoping...
Beautiful, just beautiful. Happy Anniversery to you and your One.
Recently my familwas interviewed for a spot on MPR on the uncertianty ford workers face in the future. http://news.minnesota.publicradio.org/features/2006/01/23_helmsm_fordworkers/ Its interesting what things they chose to quote my parents on. I like that they used a grim picture of us... NOT! <!-- Ju-A
The boys are adorable!
It will be so fun when Jayna and Aki are toddlers and then the three can play together. I am sure they will have us all in stiches!
Thank you, I think she's the cutest thing in the world, but Im a bit biased! I am so smitten with her!
Dharma~ Well written! I have to think that these parents never had "that moment". They never looked at their child and decided to hell with material goods, I am going to be the best parent I can be for my child. I think the parents are to blame, as they are teaching that happiness should come from goods and $$. Sadly these children will grow up believing this, and never find true happiness. Many of the best parents I know aren't rich
I remember watching wrestling with my dad in the 80's. I loved Hulk Hogan!
Hahah! That really cracked me up! I love it!
