No "snarky" dialog like in GalCiv!? aw man...I kind of like the "snarky"...Big'ol Might and Magic fan here, from back in the day [e digicons][/e] I haven't posted much, but have been reading regularly. I have, both, GalCiv2 and Sins of a Solar Empire...GalCiv2 is still a project of mine, as I've yet to beat it on normal, but I took to Sins like a fish to water because the pacing was perfect for me and I love the fact it is not a "click fest" in the "right or
Speaking just for myself, although I know I'm not alone, I tend to buy retail on computer games because I can use "cash" to pay for it. I do this once in a while when I want to splurge a little on myself without the wife knowing. [e digicons]O:)[/e]
This link seems to have been hijacked...not sure what is going on here, but I'm checking my computer...anyone else see this? Emmeland.com?...Hmm...part of the url is "sinsships"...maybe someone has a sideline on the staff and goofed when updated the website? The link in the sticky is definitely borked...you may wana take a look at it.
I haven't used any mods for Sins yet and feel a little timid in trying them. I'm always afraid of messing up the game on my system and having to reinstall. But I'll tell ya...Star Trek mods(and Star Wars mods to a lesser extent) are very tempting for me. What do you YOU think is the best Star Trek mod, or Star Wars mod, and why? Stability? Update support? Gameplay? Just looking for a little guidence as I head into the fray o
I don't know for sure, but it is a weekend after release. In my experience, things like this problem seem to go away late at night during the week when trying to download large files. I wouldn't sweat it unless it keeps happening during the week at non-peak hours. This game has gained a lot of buzz with all the good reviews, and I bet the servers are just clogged a little right now. I'd try again about Thursday night, just before you go to bed.
So to make sure I have this straight... If I have an old P4 2ghz cpu(1 gig Ram, and an ATI 9600 XT 256mb vidcard) I should be able to run it just fine? I'll just have to wait on the cpu for the turns? No grapghic issues for battles? No other glitches/corruption caused from not having the other pipeline in my cpu? I'm just thinking of hitting my wife up for this on "V-day" and plan to butter her up pretty good if it's worth it...hehehe.
WoW! Nice job!
Just popp'in in to say this game is a breath of fresh air! I'm no game pro, or anything, but I enjoy relaxing with a game at night after the kids are in bed from time to time. I have been playing the RTS games the past 4-5 years and have longed for a good turn based game to relive my Pax Imperia days, and MOO2 craze. I am loving this game after just the first time messing with it getting my feet wet and can already tell I'll be a
