Man... i thought you were on vacation!
I don't see this as replacing anything. maybe I could be wrong, but this seems more inline with commercial use rather than consumer use.
Following the link provided by Extreme Tech I was given, I saw the crazy differences between prices for what seemed to be the same board. BTX is a new (if you call a few years old new) mother board layout that is suppossed to replace the ATX form factor. Great. So why does a 249 dollar motherboard cost 300 or 2000 dollars? I can see if the FSB was super high on one and not the other, but they all seem the same. microBTX verses picoBTX verse
Wow! Cool. Thanks for all the thumbs up! I think I can post it this weekend. I am as busy as a beaver getting ready for my a+ exams as well as my final presentation on my business concept in June. As a little bonus, I'll through in my proposal for my school's website (where i am doing my internship and studies) of which also includes us
Congradulations to Cari!
Just to let you guys know, I did a presentation on the history of the GUI and I definiatly did mention Stardock a few times toward the end and even presented this website to the class. The next time I present GUI's will be for my presentation at Copper Union (NYC... its part of a small business workshop graduation)! I going into the business of technology consulting and web development (turning dreams into reality... HA!). Of cour
Even though they explained why they bought it, I am still left to wonder why they bought it. User database? Future plans? The reason why they bought it seems sort of generic. There must be a more strategic (spell?) plan.
I downloaded it. I will instal it and play around with it. Maybe even enter the contest. I also might show one of my potential clients this little program thingy. It might be useful for them.
Sorry. I don't know if it can. I'll find out soon enough if their is a way when I boot up my almost sort of new home server with the 2 monitors hooked up to it. The best thing you can do is jon one of StarDocks newsgroups and search/look/ask there.
This is really good of you to help others with this. I haven't talked about my project to help lost children get found in a while because I have been so busy. I hope if you have time, you can help me and a few others create a DesktopX widget as part of helping to find missing children. Anyway, I hope you have more tutorials.
Why? Because there's BIG things coming for the skinning world. It may not have seemed that way lately right? Been a little quiet? That's because a lot of things are being worked on that you will see start to show up over the next year. Windows Vista is coming, the Vista sidebar is coming, some really interesting new...things ar
Myspace is a Disease... you mean Sexspace is a Disease
Just wondering for those who make those gadgets, anybody making a email reader that also holds dates, numbers and other contact information?
the desktop and the internet become one...
I thought about doing it. After reading your story I am sort of glad I didn't. That death rate is pretty high buddy. Then again, the pay is pretty good. One company I saw in the paper said they would pay 60,000 a year (or was it 45,000??? I can't remember) I like driving, but I can't take to much of it because other motorist get on my nerves. Never the less, driving a truck just seems very different from a car or even a bus.
I'm sort of tired so maybe my instructions are a little off... but the repair option is a good bet. You might want to read this eWeek article - Microsoft Says Recovery from Malware Becoming Impossible http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1895,1945808,00.asp Backing up your computer has just become a burden like spam email.
You OS might be corrupted at this point. I read that you did a repair, is that correct? Did you put the XP CD and boot your computer with it and then when Windows XP ask you to full install, you selected yes? From there, XP asked if you want to do a repair and you select yes? Before you do this (but it might save time if you do a repair first), back up all data important to you and do the following... it might help. (By the way, you shouldn't
I am very interested in seeing the ad.
Joe...it's probably a database error somewhere....part of what's been happening of late... ah ok. well, I don't mind too much. I just hope it eventually goes away. after a few times, shooting ninjas to win a XBOX360 is just not fun anymore.
I'm mad as hell. For a couple of years, we've heard your constant whining about Wincustomize being an independant entity from Stardock and we need to pay for the bandwidth, servers and everything else you threw our way. We renew our ObjectDesktop subscription once a year, we renew our WC subscription every other year (remember, S
Link Another blogger picked it up... I think this will be in the internet news for a while.
Draginol, you should put this on the front page of JoeUser when it comes back on line fully... sometime next week! lol I would love to see the statistics on how many people wanted to come to the sites. Knowing you, you''ll post that. Lets hope the front page news doesn't get 'The Digg Effect'. Better have those new servers ready. I wonder if their will be a win-fall for WinCustomize??? More Subscriptions?
P.S. I note that Digg STILL hasn't removed the offending article. As far as I am concerned since the person that posted it admitted he fabricated the quote, he shouldn't have the right to post news to their site. Digg isn't very good at removing offending articles actually. Their system isn't as good
