Doreen - at the rate feline is going we should be at 1000 post in no time! hehe i would say that i learnt from the master, but it is more the case that developed the same cunning tack-tick indipendantly. apparently (acording to people at work) i have two states, dead silent, and never shuting up. personally i blame it on time of the month, my hormones going wild do things to my posting rate <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/grim.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle"

i have just watched the tomb raider movie. now i am wondering if i am the only one to have noticed the interesting meta-physical parallel between the physical manifistation of time (as the little girl) and the vorlons? /me is debating the nature of the first comment on this question

Glen Eric Reed - I think I figured out how this thread got so long it is called doreenitus i think it may be contatgious. i did once get a little carried away in the romance thread, where i prodoced about 50% of all the posts. since that thread ran to about 340 posts that was quite a lot /me wonders why you have taken so long to notice as for belly rubs, cats only let cert

/me looks hurt and upset *i* didnt make an Elf rug. the rug has a long and venerable history, which i managed to wander into the middle of. people did say that you shouldnt go down into the basement (where crae lives), but i never was very good with rules like that. and anyway, i was curious. the rug dates back to one of the meetings Elf had with the large Crea bear. during the ensuing months of entertainment i managed to get squashed into a gooey mess on more than one o

TasT - Also I would like to see an ODNT basic subscription that only allows users to get release versions of the software. This might possibly eliminate some of the WB, OB ETC... is a buggy POS comments. interesting. out of interest, how many of the people here who have OD subscriptions are active users of the alpha and beta releases? i suspect most of the active posters probably are, but i wonder in terms of the average user. the other half of the question is how man

do you have any firm thoughts on subscription levels yet? one think i have noticed is that while to some people $20 for a wincustomize item is considered virtually free, for others (me included) this is a quite a bit of money. and then there is postage as well. i am certanly not against the idea of a subscription, i just would like it to not be to expensive, since i have limited disposable income *shrug*

/me wants a message number counter on the message thread i have just noticed that the posting above was number 666, which was quite amusing. if i had known i would have thought of a more apt message *sigh*

JavaBrain - If you are completely naked, you will stick to your leather chair if you promise not to spill coffee on it, i can probably make room for you on the Elf rug. due to its furry surface you dont stick to it, which is nice

Glen Eric Reed - is it really possible to get a voice full of foreboding and doom from a turtle?? just remember that turles have a hard shell. so if you pull your head a very long way back in you can get a lovely resonant cavity, which will give you a nice deep and booming voice Glen Eric Reed - just remember, I am he as you are he as you are me and we are all together. /me looks at this sideways memcmp(&glen, &feline, sizeof(cat) * 3.5) != 0 dont w

juni - In a voice full of foreboding and doom: /me feels all goosbumbpy /me thinks it tickles juni - The net sees everyone and knows most of you are naked...I _am_ the ...net ....(returns to the woodwork) /me wonders if a furry cat can be said to be naked anyway, the net doesnt see me, it just sees the shell around me

Elfkura - Has anyone ever thought of breast reduction? /me has mixed views on cosmetic surgery i remember being a me who had proper body control. a proper form flows and ebbs with the mind and soul of the individual. human bodies dont do that. so in that sence surgery makes sence, since it is a way of making up for what is missing. however, it is the other side that i am less happy with. it seems that often people want to change their bodies because of what othe

Glen Eric Reed - Surprised you haven't noticed my predilection for going off on tangents. I'm the king of the nonsequitur. Actually, it took some convincing to get Doreen to realize I wasn't you, over on LotsOfSkins. And that's a compliment, right? you go off on tangents? i handnt really noticed to be honest. i thought that disussions were supposed to be multithreadded. i suppose this must make me the goddess of nonsequitur's bow at my alter, mere mortals! <img src="htt

JavaBrain - Well, Glenn Eric Reed, you will be happy to know that I fell off the wagon.... I am back to my old coffee drinking ways.... /me *concern* you said that you had been forced to cut back on coffee for heath reasons. you are not doing something you realy shouldnt are you? i dont want to see you disapear from here due to health issues. that would be sad, especially if you are able to cut back at least some of the time, making this preventable.

Elfkura - licking myself..... Glen, there are so many wrong ways that can go, you know that? =P. I don't lick myself =P /me confused *= 5 what is wrong with licking bits of yourself? it is a good way to clean a wound if it is bleading, and you can reach it, eg on fingers. /me not see what is wrong with this /me thinks you are using a different mental map /me wonders if i should start selling postcards of my mental map if i sold them via here, what percenta

Elfkura - Yup, my best friend says I'm like a cat, my behaviour resembles a cat, and everything I do reminds him of a cat.... /me considers the set (Elf union Cat) /me further considers that set (Elf union Cat) is nearly the same as the set (Elf intersection Cat) /me considers the inherant paradox of Elfkura /me appreatiates the irony that Elf has at the core the same paradox as Feline as for the features of a cat, the basic ones are obvious, and deeply flattering:<

i havent used it for a while, so i dont know directly. however, you should be able to find someone who knows on the stardock desktopX newsgroup. as i recall, in order to get controls for the player, you need to use a DX object, since it has no real front end of its own. if this is still the case then perhaps the problem is with the controling DX object? have you tried different objects to control it?

MikeB314 - Many ad blocking products block all onload and onclose javascript events. The problem with that is legitimate events will be blocked as well as pop-up ads. i use atguard for this. it does firewall, plus ad and java blocking. by default i have it set to block everything possible. but, for those sites where the popup windows do something useful (like windows update) i simply create site specific rules to allow popups there only. it takes a bit of setting up
