since these look like needing program "improvements" it might be worth posting these questions on the objectbar newsgroup. i dont know if Jeff (the OB developer) reads this board, but he does follow the newsgroup.

from comparing to WB previews, the pictured skins are: 1 - XPCobalt, been recoloured - an outstanding skin 2 - XP Charcoal, says so in the picture 3 - Corvette, says so in the picture 4 - XP Copper i already have all of these installed on my machine, so i am fairly certain they are in the object desktop component "WB Skins02", version Jan02, which has been available for a little while now
/me isnt worried about the chocolate wall /me has entire chocolate plannet to play with fell free to keep on muching
/me doesnt make to many assesments based on size Elf isnt that large, but when she goes hunting for her rug, she can be quite a demon. just ask crae
as for "inteligence", i think we are using different meanings for the word. if you take IQ tests repeatedly then your IQ score (well, your test result at any rate) goes up. this is why i ask what definition you are using. a lot of simple IQ tests i have seen are actually testing knowledge of english and maths. so i do quite well in the maths half, since i was taught most of the tricks at primary school in maths lessons. hence i have very little faith in these sort of tests <
/me advices groc'ing the thread it all makes sence then, with the possible exception of which colour grometric shape Elf becomes on alternate tuesdays
glass beakers (lab equipment) might work quite well. there was a rather nice "science" theme in the origional win95 plus pack that used that idea.
i seem more now for editing the skin, i dont use skin studio, so i cannot comment on that directly. if you can find an example OB skin that does what you want, then it should be possible to work out how it is done, and then apply the same tactic to your skin. i dont know of anyway to set up two autohiding bars on top of each other, but i have never tried <img src="http://images.st
/me listens to Doreen /me beleives in trying to learning from wise and knowledgable people you do have a point about books, but at least they are always there for you, and it may give you some ideas / insight
Glen Eric Reed - And the "people understand what I'm saying" excuse works great. All other things being equal, however, it makes you appear less intelligent. this is actually quite an interesting "observation". it is very human, and initially it makes sence. however, the real point is, what group of people are you speaking for? the reason i ask is that when i did maths at university (not actually proof of inteligence) it was observed that most (all?) of the maths and
strange. my work machine (large pile of moldy cheese) isnt having any problems so far with WB 3.2a quite impressive given the quite vast number of problems i have had with some builds
thats the great secret, it is
Glen Eric Reed - and "millenia" and "immediate" in the last one. (Have I mentioned I make my living as an editor? ) this reminds me another thing i am going to do once galactic conquest has been achieved is to get the spelling of the English language fixed! obviously my spelling is suitable, since people understand what i am saying. therefore the dictionaries should be updated to reflect this new understanding <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/grim.gi
reply is there this place is an exercise in crisys management. i post during the relative lulls, when only half the people around me are screaming in blind panic
on top of that, one note of caution. install winME, 98 ect first. tradionally they are not so good at setting up or dealing with dual boots. win98 and above is supposed to be better at this, but i always install NT, 2k or XP second, and have never had a problem with the dual boot.
um, i have just spotted part of the problem. the win9x OS's dont like more than 512 meg of ram in the machine. this is a known limitation of the OS its self. it doesnt effect NT, 2k or XP. as for installing a dual boot, its easy. my advice is to clear the target drive (D in my case) first, and backup, just to be on the safe side then insert the relivent CD-ROM.<
bar sizes can be set, because i have done it acidently myself a good place to start would be theme properties, select the section of interest, and look on the "Arrangement" tab. at the bottom there are a couple of numbers for minimum and maximum item size. i am guessing these should allow this effect. i dont know of any way to effect popup time, but it is an outstanding request.
/me beleives in embracing own ignorance
Elf, the book by its self is unlikely to help however, hopefully it will give you more insight into how males (and females) tend to think, and the differences in how men and women tend to me. i do feel that you two need to start comunitating more. talking isnt always the same thing, especially if you are not making your feeling about this situation clear. you dont seem to have any
/me wonders how long it will take LoidiBoid to eat the entire wall
LoidiBoid - Owch, that hurt! as a short term measure, you could try coating the walls of the bin in thick chocolate moose
/me *likes* a wall made out of chocolate bricks /me is impressed with craeonics diy skills
well what else was there to do? if i make all the walls padded people will get the wrong idea this way there will be no electromagnetic interaction when i hit my head on the wall. so no impact force, so no pain **ta-da** of course the walls will have to be sternly talked to so they stay upright, but that is only a minor point
i have just discovered by accident that "windows_key + tab" is working on my win98 machine using OB 1.00 i didnt know this was working yet, and am sure i have tried this before, and had it fail. this is just SO useful! /me runs off to throw mint chocolate dragons at Jeff as a reward i just hope this isnt some strange temporary oddity about my work machine. the only question this leaves me with is, when you are using two taskbars (one is icons only, an
strange, i am sure i put tummy rub anyway, i suppose it depends on who is trying to squash me, and how they do it really. i am not automatically adverse to trying anyway, i have proved quite resilient so far over the milenia, so no imidiate worries
