how are you using your computer? if you are using it seperately, then you could simply set up a dual boot. reboot to winXP when you want to use it, and boot back to winME when hubby wants to use any hardware that isnt being detected by XP. i do this for games compatibity and a place for testing. simple to set up, and works a treat. just remember that winME cannot read NTFS partitions, so if you format the winXP partition like that you will only be able to do

Glen, you need to consider the irony of the current situation. here you are, getting on quite well with several females all at once. and there are only 2 minor issues. a) they are probably living on a different planet b) they are all happily settled with significant others. if you dont see the humor in the situation it will drive you mad /me wants to know if all interesting women are born 'married'
interesting. /me on *lots* of chocolate i seen to need lots of space in some places. the Diablo II game ended up with about a 2.5 gig install on my machine. for things like this, plus my music files, big partitions can be useful. i still like partitions to seperate out my OS's from my data though.
