Looks like wincustomize site with a windowblinds skin.
See what I mean, adni? Spell-checked your name
I was just messing with you Andi. God knows if I didn't spell-check my posts they would be full of typos. But I thought Huston was a Hollywood actor/actress.
You could take one set and put it on a cdrw and then delete what is on the hard drive. If nothing changes then delete it off the cdrw. or the opposite scenario which is restore. or wait until someone who knows something has a better suggestion
Thanks David I sent the skin after I tried the last suggestion and it was a no go.
David thanks for the help but that didn't work. I didn't put the glyph code in but skinstudio did. I removed that and took out the spaces in the name and that didn't help. This problem only happens with the alpha version. With 3.5 the first frame shows. [StartMenu.ButtonBackground] Tile=0 BottomHeight=0 LeftWidth=0 RightWidth=15 TopHeight=0 Image=O Shoot\Panel_Item_Bg.bmp TileBottom=0 TileLeft=0 TileRight=0 TileTop=0 PerPixel=0<br
I uploaded an image of the start menu. Sometimes when I reload the skin I can mouse over the menu and the first frame will show. In this image I moi-ced over part of the menu. WHat is showing should be showing ALL the time. That is the first frame. http://users2.ev1.net/~sallyh/Image1.jpg
[StartMenu.ButtonBackground] Tile=0 BottomHeight=0 LeftWidth=0 RightWidth=15 TopHeight=0 Image=O Shoot\Panel Item Bg.bmp TileBottom=0 TileLeft=0 TileRight=0 TileTop=0 PerPixel=0 Alpha=255 Trans=1 FrameCount=2 GlyphAlpha=255 In 3.5 both frames show but in the alpha only the second frame shows.
Master of English. Sorry but Houston is where I live and I just had to make the correction for all the Houstonians and the wannabe Houstonians of the world. "Houston, the Eagle has landed" should really be "Pearland, the Eagle has landed" because that is the city NASA is in.
Object Desktop is the very best way to go. If you divide the total number of programs that come with OD by the cost of OD, each program is very inexpensive.
I don't think it would be mouse over but mouse-over. Iespell. In the device manager of XP is a section for mice and other printing devices. I just figured that XP doesn't mouse-over but mice-over
The first word from the moon was not Huston but Houston. FWIW
Can't answer about Icon packager but the window advanced options in display can do that. Control panel > Display > Appearance > Advanced button > More advanced button > Icon in the drop menu. Set the size and click ok out of all that
Woops I thought that might happen. The page ate the code Lets take out and see what happens style type="text/css" !-- body { scrollbar-face-color: #000000; scrollbar-shadow-color: #D0CC00; scrollbar-highlight-color: #D0CC00; scrollbar-3dlight-color: #D0CC00; scrollbar-darkshadow-color: #D0CC00; scrollbar-track-color: #000000; scrollbar-arrow-color: #D0CC00 } --
That is so true Weaksid. However IE won't skin the scrollbar with the wb skin if that webblinds setting is not set. Just for those that don't have this style and would like it.
1: How many characters are allowed in a windowblinds skin name? Wincustomize protocol. 2: Is it possible to change an uploaded skin name without loosing the downloads? IOW Updating a skin with a new name. I never done that before and wonder if it will destroy the current downloads. 3: WHy won't the first frame in the XP start menu panel background show in the alpha? 2 images tiled but only miced over image shows. 4: Why did the US govt have to spend millions of do
I experienced a similiar problem and learned that IE won't skin the scrollbar unless webblinds is set for the top option, Windows classic / Windowblinds
Guess I should have mentioned to open the skin with SkinStudio if you have it. If not then you can open the UIS file with notepad and find... MenuHilight=000 000 000 I think that is the one
That is in colors of skinstudio. Menus
Sorry, Missed this entire page of comments before posting mine. Many apologies.
Might also be a simple fix like resizing the window and then closing to set as the size for the next window. Don't know where that setting is but it is out there somewhere. Another possibility is that the monitor needs adjusting. Factory settings are not really that great. At least from Gateway
If you want to get rid of the user pic all together, stop using the welcome screen. If you want to remove the name: Start > Run > Gpedit.Msc > User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Start Menu And Taskbar > Find Remove User Name From Start Menu > Right Click Properties > Check Enabled > Ok
That happened to me with one of the alpha versions but was fixed. Perhaps that could be a clue
