Just in case someone looks here. I solved the problem. Nothing to do with the Enhanced Dialog. Actually to do with microsoft powertoys Tweak UI: If you uncheck anything on the common dialogs-settings (i.e. 'Enable AutoComplete', 'Remember previously-used filenames', and 'Show Back button on file open/save dialog') the Corel file dialogs will be trashed and eventually crash. I don't suppose you're running the microsoft powertoys Tweak UI? Problems With ED and CorelDraw12 in Enh Dialog WinCustomize Forums

The default ED settings (ie just after installation) make CorelDraw12 crash when opening/saving files. OK, so I can fiddle with the ED settings and CD12 doesn't crash, but now all file dialogs are a mess. So I can exclude CD12 from ED, but the CD12 file dialogs are still trashed. So I can uninstall ED (and yes restart afterwards), but the CD12 dialogs are still trashed. Anyone got a solution? Preferably one that doesn't involve resinstalling Corel Draw? <
