I have found that the game will crash if you repeadly name a ship the same name but with different equipment. the game will tell you that it isn't a good Idea; but I find it muc easher then having a bunch of ships and trying to figure out what has what so have taken to nameing them like this fist letter for hull size next for speed in parsects, tehn hit points. I don't think that I like DA as muc as DL; because I don't like the spys. I do like the upgraded specs on the enemys fleets and such in 3d; but not the spys, I just don't like them at all; maybe if there was a way to disable them until I get use to the entire game

I bought the Dark Avatar expantion pack also, but and got the CD and the download from here; but now I am thinking that the Orignal Gal Civ2, has more then eitehr Dread Lords or Dark Avatar right? Am I right in thinking that that all I have are to expancion packs and that the orignal game has a lot more then either of these expansion packs? If so what am I mission by not haveing the orignal Gal Civ2?

I keep getting it go go into I think it is called PQ? all the suns get 5 worlds around them all at level 13 all at the same time all at once. I sure don't know how people are getting such quick victorys I been trying eveything and all I can win is tiny,normal and then only a techological win, which sux big time. I am just wondering; because I have not been playing this game long and I am starting to like it; but I keep hearing about "Dark Avatar"; but the one I bought at Walmarts is called "Dread Lords" which was in the new releases; but on here I don't see much about it; but instead everything is about Dark Avatar. The question is "Did I buy an outdated game that wally world was passing off as the newest version?"

After updateing the game (sucessfully this time) from 1.40 to 1.50 I went back into a saved game of the one where I could not attack the terrans and guess what? Yet I was able to not only attack them but win that game by millitary conquest. so I guess I was right in guessing tha that it wouldn't let me attack them when there was nothing in orbit

I don't think the PQ was raised; because planets appeared where there were none before; because where there were for instance only 3 planets 2 more showed up and they as the 3 that were there all went up past 12's, and all 9 suns had 5 worlds each above 12's most 26's. There was no ships in orbit and it was kind of early in the game too less then 10 years on a tiny map, I only had 2 other civis enabled tarens and one other ; but then when I killed off all but the terans is when there were stars

Oh and when all the stars and planets came from nowhere, there were also a few other rases like about 3 or 4 of them that tried to settle a planet; but I got them; but I had everythig set to normal and small uni, U think it was a glitch? Or maybe my XPS M1710 wth 2GB ram got too hot from playng over 3 days with only taking piss breaks, rofl, well I did get about 3 hours sleep after the first 48 stright:)

I think my game hiccupped; because I did all the yellow techs and it said "Cutural Conquest" ;but it kept going and then I don't know how but all at once every star had planets all round then and the planets didn't belong to anyone and most of them were up in the 25' and 26's, then I took all those planets, well I got a screen shot if you want to see it; because I sure don't know how that happned; because I had killed everyone except for the humand and I sent over 50 attacks each with 2k troups

Another Q, if you don't mind, I had GC2 Dread Lords, now is this one befor or after GC2 Dark Avitar? I also noticed it cost $10 more at walmarts then online here, whats up with that?

hey, Kryo how come your race doesn't show in here like my custom does? Shame about no multi thought; because they could do it like bre and with the graphics it would be a blast; but just like bre everyone would only get one turn per day or up to a max of 4 turns per day in betweene you build up your stuff and then launch in this games case intergelatic; because this is a galaxy type game; but with a BRE sort of attachment or update it could go intergelactic!! LOL I see a BEG and S in tags

I am still trying to figure out what happned to my one victory and it was a technological victory where my rase and everyone else turned into beings of light? About my luck that because I didn't know I had to use the metaverse button that game probably didn't count on here and it was my only victory;o(

Tnx, another question is that I have the cakewalk and evil in here but on my charcter and account only the cakewalk any idea why? Isn't the metaverse an online game? I wanted to pratice offline until I can at the very least beat the AI before playing real people that will most likely kick my butt. Oh have you ever played a game called BRE (Baron Relms Elete) back in the bbs days? Although it was a text only game it is almost exactly like this would be if it were text only.

Ok whats the deal? I did the cakewalk got the madalian, then I did a normal game with 3 PC AI players all in the normal and rantom, used the normal map and went all the way to the end got what it called a "Technological Victory" which basicly said that my race and all the other races turnecd into energy after it showed a spinning doublle DND Double helix turn into energy and then it shows all thes little energy orabs coaming from all the planets.
