This is an aesthetic thing but it still bugs me. About the "Red" and "Blue" states. in Political Machine JoeUser Forums

Republicans should be blue color and Democrats should be red. Blue signifies conservatism (blue blood, old money, etc) and red signifies liberal (red chinese, red army, socialist, etc). Who got this wrong? Assigning Democrats as Blue states and Republicans as red states? This has always bugged the hell out of me. Why doesn't the media correct this?
