Thanks for your help. I tried one more time with help from Kris Kwilas re-sending the sig.bin file. I installed and then before I rebooted, I ran the wbconfig.exe to select a skin and then before rebooting copied the sig.bin file to my WB directory. When my system restarted WB5 was active and working just fine. I'm also trying the latest Object Bar 2 beta right now (I'm realy on the "bleeding-edge) too with the Stardock Virtual Desktops as

Thanks, but that did not fix the issue. Same problems. I have dropped back and punted to WB 4.60 for now. The Apply Changes button is not active or selectable. It says that it is not active still in the trouble shooting option. I have uninstalled 4.60, rebooted, installed 5, rebooted, found issues, uninstalled 5, rebooted, installed 4.60 aga
I too only get the Classic Skin and have installed the 4.90d[b].002 build from Saturday. I have gotten an e-mail back with a sig.bin file included from Stardock, but that did not help. I copied off all my old skins to a "WB_old" directory and uninstalled the WB5 beta then re-installed. This time it said it activated and installed successfully. I rebooted, but the WB Config started up right after reboot and would not load when I clicked on "A

Has anyone taken the time to upload any of their new Object Bar skins to WinCustomize.com? I haven't seen many recent updates and would like to see what folks are doing with it. I use RightClick a lot and love it, but see some overlap with ObjectDock Plus. Show me some cool stuff!!! Thanks, Craig (cmuggle) <a href="../resourc
I'm getting all the desktops to show now for each desktop and as mini's...although I don't know if having 10 desktops and 10 backgrounds loaded is good since the explorer.exe size in Task Manager has gone up considerably. Jeff: SVD used to be available as an option in Right Click to add to a menu. Should that still be the case? I don't have the ability to add it any longer. Would it be possible to add SVD to ObjectDock+ in the futu
That works for me! Is SVD still supposed to be added to RightClick menus? I'm currently on version 1.10a.006 of RightClick and the latest version of SVD... Thanks Jeff! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCustomize Browser/Stardock Ce
I re-tract my prior statement... "P.S. Somehow when I deleted my archived version yesterday, and re-installed, I too am having the strange behavior that was reported above and followed the steps from 'Kra' to fix." ...as this did NOT fix my problem and I am currently running with only the 3 desktops. Is there a 'very frustrated' smileyI could have inserted? <img src="http://image
Thank you... P.S. I wish one of the Stardock folks would jump in and 'moderate' this thread and review the Virtual Desktop install or the latest version.
I didn't have that problem (I had 9 desktops running), but after a couple of hours explorer.exe would freeze and the screen would lock up. I would have to CTRL-ATL-DEL to kill explorer.exe and then reboot...only to have it happen again and again. I resort to rolling back to the archived 1.95 version which doesn't have the Exclusions bells and whistles but is more stable. I actually searched the Net for other Virtual Desktop software at lun
I've had similar problems when using it. I really do like the idea and use the heck out of it here at work. It also really blows up the memory usage of explorer.exe running on your PC. You may also see where if you had Windows Explorer running on one desktop and flip from one to another and then back again, that the Windows Explorer has disappeared. I have even seen where the Taskbar becomes unresponsive such that you have to CTRL-ALT-DEL t
For weather information, the best thing I've seen is the ForecastFox 0.7.1 Extension available in Mozilla FireFox. It works from behind corporate firewalls and proxies and allows a bunch of customization to show multiple profiles (different zipcodes), days, temps, forecasts, etc. in the status bar at the bottom of the Firefox window. A great app... <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/ico
I have installed the Beta for the BandVWM and really like the idea of individual desktops available in the Windows Taskbar each independent of the other. I am currently using the app with 9 separate desktop windows and have configured each to have their own separate wallpaper from sites such as VladStudio.com, Wincustomize.com, and digitalblasphemy.com. I have noticed (while running Task Manager) that as you add Wallpapers for each window,
Thanks Chris...I didn't have my Lock Desktop Items checked, but I also didn't have Show Desktop Items checked either. When I checked 'Show Desktop Items' that did the trick! I use RightClick and have a Desktop folder embedded in there so I don't have to display my desktop icons. This problem emphasizes how badly RightClick needs to have a 'Hide Desktop Icons' option just like ObjectBar! <img src="http://images3.stardock.com/wc/smile
In the news release for the Beta for Virtual Desktops 2 it mentions "...Each desktop can have its own wallpaper (and it doesn't slow down switching at all - no other program that we know of has managed to be able to have per desktop wallpapers and not slow down the changing, we figured out a way)...". In XP, I have found out how to set the desktop wallpapers, but they only show up as bitmap backgrounds in the BandVWM but not as the actual de
Rebooting cured that problem. Thanks. The only thing now is that OD+ does not play well with Object Bar with Virtual Desktops turned on (all Object Desktop products). The original windows desktop is the home for the default tabbed dock and the normal dock that I have attached to the right side of the screen. When I change desktops, the only thing I see is the Task Manager icon from the System Tray on the right and no other icons or the background. I remember having the same
I just bought and downloaded OD+ today and tried to add a System Tray tab to the default tabbed dock that comes with the install. After adding the tab, which is labelled "System Tray", the tab is there but there are no icons displayed. Please help! Is it just me not knowing the product or a "feature"??? On the bright side, the Taskbar tab with the default tabbed dock is populated and works (grouped and ungrouped). <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/inde
Ask Stardock to add a checkbox option to Hide Desktop Icons like the Hide Taskbar option just like in Object Bar. It seems much faster then the desktop menu option from Object Bar...Good so far!
