Taking a long deep gulp of champagne, Yuri coughed the bubbles down and cleared his throat. He rubbed his palms on his black pants (sorry, trousers) and looked up to meet her gaze. Biting his lip and drawing his brows together in the middle, thinking, he nodded softly to himself, wet his lips with his tongue and tasting champagne behind his teeth, opened his mouth to ask.....

I still can't look at it myself,(ground zero) although I didn't lose anyone that day, what I saw will stick in my mind till the day I die. They're building a new tower, even bigger, which I thought was stupid at first, but now I can kinda see the logic behind it- that we won't be beaten down, it's kind of a way to stand up again, to get the city back on its feet and to pay homage to those who lost their lives and their loved ones. I was very

It really depends on the thing in question, Suz. If you want to talk about it I don't sleep and enjoy a good ramble ... Dyl xx

Aww poor mig. Insomnia sucks. Good thinking time though. There's often a matrix like point where you suddenly grasp the answers to all those big questions philosophers cant handle. May I suggest a nightcap in future? It's so weird thinking that here it is only 10pm and all the way in Australia it's tomorrow..bizarre. Sleep soon honey!! Dyl xx

I like New York magazine..it's cheesy, and inane and yet so informative...I like the pictures best. I hope I DO die in a stupid way. Nothing is coming between me and that Darwin Award. Unless it's my own shoe,..or a foreign object. Dyl xx

Hey if you're shamed, I am. This struck a chord in me because I've sung the song myself. Not quite so melodic, or with such beautiful lyrics, but the same song. Still singing it. Thanks. Dyl xx

I'm glad to hear that you can find comfort in your children In life- tough as it is- we need to take comfort where we can find it, and try to return it too. It's true so much great art springs from utter misery, but these people worked during periods when they felt at least well enough to get out of bed. The worst thing about depression, I think, is how crippling it is at its w

You have a hard time forgiving for a reason Sal, because you're smart. You're smart enough to know that if someone hurts you once, it's pretty likely they'll do it again. You're taking care of yourself, and since you're the one person you have to answer to your whole life, that's an important quality. Some people are never worthy of forgiveness, but some people are. I'm sure in time you'll be more able to forgive, if you think that forgivenes

I think this is very powerful and well written Gideon. I'm terrible at poetry so I really admire anyone who can write it. Just wanted you to know I think this is very good. I know depression sucks, and I'm not exactly a bundle of joy myself. It's cheesy, but the thing that pulls me thru every time (god knows why) is just hoping that one day I'll be okay. Sometimes depression seems like a strange and scary beast, but sometimes it's just an emo

Ah, Suz- i am waaaaay too personal in my blog. Infact it's the place I write my most personal stuff. About 90% of that rubbish I didn't even tell my shrink. (A fellow lunatic, no less). I know some of the people i know have read it and I don't really care. it gets things out in the open and sometimes thats a good thing. For example, i have a sneaking suspicion Holden read my blog before he decided to tell me he um..felt the same. I'm pretty sure Dave r

Hey. Sorry you've had such a hard week. I was just interested to read this cuz my shrink slapped me with the bipolar label when I was twenty, and then about 4 other disorders till he decided I had BPD and I thought- this is a ridiculous and quit therapy. I still have crazy moods myself but I self medicate mostly, because I just don't trust psychiatrists. Anyway, it's just nice to read something from someone who's been there too. So thankyou for writing
