As for as I know Jim hasnt risen from the dead quite yet...but ya never know Best of luck with everything honey, this all seems like a crazy time for you- boy can i sympathise! My thoughts are with you ..I hope this trip back home helps you to straighten out those things you've been struggling with a little. I'm not worried about you- I know you're a hardass!! <img src="../image

Wow- your little boy sounds amazing!! And with a parent who loves and encourages him as much as you clearly do- I'm sure he'll go very far I really liked reading this, I always like reading about other people's lives, because I' m nosy!! and I think other people are quite fascinating ( I hope that doesn't make me sound weird). And this was so well written, and with such obvious

I'll cut ya a deal kingbee- I'll educate you on the one thing I know about...um..New York City and bartending.. (yup- that's it!! ) and you can teach me just about everything else... Dyl xx

"The more I know the less I understand." Perspective is a painful and wonderful thing, a burden and a gift. I'm learning that myself. Good article Muggaz! Dyl xx Ps I'm sure America forgives ya

I don't know- I like living in the city. I like how jampacked fulla people it is. how crowded and noisy and busy. It's exciting and entertaining, and never lonely. Maybe that's cuz I spent the first part of my life in a very isolated place, so I'm catching up!! Good article though - very thought provoking, good ideas..and yet another way to blame my parents!!! Excellent advice Vanessa...I must try and take it on board... Wish I could give you a better quote but this is the only one I can think of ; "He not busy being born, is busy dying". -Bob Dylan Dyl xx

aww bad hair cuts are the worst. I had bangs when I was about 15 that were waaay too short, they looked ridiculous, so I feel your pain Dharma That woman should be locked away from crimes against hair -manity. But hey- hair grows (even after you're dead!) so chin up!! Besides, some women look wonderful with short hair. Dyl xx

Though it isn't really hard to look intelligent in the face of George dubya is it? Good article Kingbee, as always. I'm a political retard, so I'm grateful to ya for educating me!! Thanks for the comment . Dyl xx

she sounds like a really wonderful friend sal. And the fact you've been apart and ended up back together again show there's something special there. Hang on to her!! She's obviously quite a talented writer too so maybe you're not so different huh? It's funny you'd write this as I was just thinking about my friends. I think the distance has given me perspective, and realising th

This is a beautiful quote Vanessa. At first I thought you'd written it!! It wouldn't suprise me if you had!! Wow, I must've been gone a long time...either that or you're just far too prolific for me to keep up!! I read them, and they are all wonderful. I especially love the one about that guy's dad...hehe. My dad's pretty hard to understand too! Jim's just fine by the way <img src="../images/smiles/joke.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle

Everyone has already said this (damn I'm late!!) but this is very insightful and clever Sal. Well done!! ( and you're right about the community element- it's my favorite thing ) -Thanks for the comment btw, my mom isn't due till early next year and my stepmom's due around November time. Glad you're feeling better sweedie!! Dyl xx

Hey Sal, hope you're okay? Endings suck but I don't think they're ever really the end. I don't think life is a straight line then a brick wall for death. I think it moves in circles, and everything you do and learn now, and all the people you know now, and so on, comes back to you in some way later in life, maybe just their influence, or maybe they themselves.just look at fashion! hehe. I don't think anything really ends- if the pa

Hey I've read a few of your articles, I liked what you wrote about beauty and the "personal note". I think you're a very good writer. It probably doesn't help, but I'm missing home too. Dyl xx

Ah Sal, these things are perfect for me, being self absorbed as I am hehe. I hope you're feeling okay by the way , you seem a little down lately ( tell me if I'm overstepping my line here), so if you need someone to rant at let me know!! Anyway- here's my two cents- I have green eyes and long monkey arms although I'm only around 5' 5'. I can't stop bouncing my foot when I'm sitting down, or fidgeting all the time. I'm right handed too and I

Thanks for the comment. Welcome back. I'm huge Dylan fan myself, so's my dad, he named me after him despite the slight handicap of my being a girl. Dyl xx

I've only read this once, so I'll probably read it again, and leave you another comment which doesn't encompass how I feel about, or achieve anything more than letting you know I read it . But nevermind.I relate- I'm always broke myself, and I don't really mind. I've probably been in nearly every financial situaton possible- I've been lower middle class, upper middle class, homeless, and finally- just plain broke. I'm happiest being broke. I

I'd love to say that both partners should be equal in relationships but that's just too idealistic I know. Every relationship I've had bar one the guy has been dominant, I think probably because i didnt have any self esteem up until recently, and let them walk all over me. There can be something nice about letting someone else take control but its also destructive. I felt like I never got to be my own person. From what I remember anyway my mom was alwa

It's funny how two people can have such completely different impressions of Paris. Paris for me is too real, too close to home despite being a million miles away. The women all seem taller and more elegant and wear more makeup than me, the men are all too serious, with a disconcerting light in their eyes that implies something so much darker than that jokey lecherous New York gaze. You're right about the air, it clings in a way that is softer and more

Where in Paris did you stay Marco? I'm having trouble figuring out how to write about it. It's so ambigious for me. I feel like I'm all at once a part of the culture, looking and being and speaking French, but totally alienated from it by default and this damn American accent. The city air is always oppresive in summer. In New York it will be sticky and suffocating but here it seems lighter. i think it's less dirty, more open. Sor
