Dread lords - Unexpected Visitor - Stuck on level 1 of the campaigns! in Game Talk GalCiv2 Forums

Whilst I'm new here, I'm by no means a novice in real life at 4x games, and have bought this game on a whim as it looks like it will be a great game once you've got the hang of it... Now this ties in with my problem - Level 1 of the campaign "unexpected visitor" - has me stuck! Two times now I've spent over an hour trying to work out how to build attacking vessels, only to be destroyed by the red enemy (boo) and a pea shooter of a weapon! I simply
