A fascinating part of the story is how the Augusta, Swainsboro, and Macon papers all reported the incdident accordin to what the State Troopers said, without ever checking for corroboration from anyone in Kareem's family, let alone tlaking to him, let alone doing any investigation. Each paper is party to an upcoming libel suit, and the two police departments will also be sued. I have talked to all of the parties involved, seen a copy of the police re

Hey there! Please, go to this site, 'Stat!!' as my nurse friends say. www.prozactruth.com/zoloftstories.htm. These feelings are very likely a result of the SSRI poison, excuse me, "medicine"(loud wretching sound from extended puking)that you have taken as part of the "War on Drugs" prescription plethora that has taken over our culture. You sound like you may have a difficult road ahead with alcohol. Pot is almost certainly NOT a big p

OK! You can have "the hooker next door write for you," but unless you make the movie with that title within the year, I'm announcing it out loud! I'M STEALING THIS TITLE. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it. LOL!! You are great. CFN, J

Some things are not about being fixed, but I find myself fixated on fixing them, if you know what I mean. Your symptoms could result from almost anything neurological, as well as from environmental toxins or environmental stresses. The patterns are the key, of course. My heart goes out to you. I obsess about aging and dying, having done so since age sixteen more or less. I tell myself I'm ready, that the glorious life is present for me regardless,

Thanks, Kelly. Ditto, I'm sure; I loved your Trailer Park Triumph bit. I've lived through similar cons and tries at a little bit more. I have an eleven and thirteen year old, and I could see either of them attempting similar ploys, albeit at a higher level, economically, due to their step-dad's elevated economic position. Keep me posted, and remember, correspondence is always welcom. Ciao for now, Jimbo

Credits and Debits and Habits, Plumbing the Rabbit Hole of Memory EACH INSTANT AS RECOLLECTION & ACTION COMBINED “Best laid plans of mice and men go aft aglee” is close to Donne’s original quotation. Older is definitely not colder, but we tend to want to hold her when she feels a wee bit bolder and wants to enfold her desires in an unfolding moebius strip of older wine and keening come until the midnight passes through dawn and the well worn wishes usher in a fawn grey morn of all that is desire, reborn. Thank you WiseFawn! I feel the potential exists in my work for mass impact, even popularity, especially if I can collaborate with editors who might tone and slim the behemoths I am wont to create. This whole situation here is so mind-bogglingly amazing I can't help but love it. It's sort of a BLOG-BOGGLE, maybe(LOL). The only thing that discourages me is how little, a mere milliionth on a good day, of what is coming at me I am able to proce

Profound thanks for creating and maintaining this modern day correspondence committee. What a world of whiners, incapable of even an approximation of responsible behavior. A well-crafted 'release' would undoubtedly be a good thing, but I'm betting you've already got that and a 'hold-harmless' clause covered. Let me know if there are texts that the site needs, which might help divert idiots like this in the future. And thank you.

What an interesting thread this is! I am a bit of a history fanatic, and I don't see much of that in most of the posts. I, too, see lots of idealism in the entries here. There is a sense, however, of willful ignorance and irresponsibility that runs through the logic and argument. Don't folks know that Saddam was OUR creature for thirty-odd years? That the "special relationship" of families like the Bushes with the House of Saud has played a big pa

Have you read, "Wherever You Go, There You Are," by Jon Cabat Zinn? I've read it four times now, although I'm not a 'practicing' anything. You might enjoy another one of my entries, I can't remember which one, in which I recount an audience with the Dalai Lama to convey some of what this work of mine represents. I certainly recognize the wisdom in non-attachment, but I figure it can't hurt to put out there in the cosmos that I would LOVE

What a wryly reasoned, beautifully written piece of prose(except for the litany of the "writer who wants to lure the reader into THEIR paradigm"---watch those pronouns, you! Thanks for posting this, it's as pleasant to read as a nice song is pleasant to hear.

Passions and Fashions, as the World Crashes and Thrashes WE ALL PAY ATTENTION, BUT TO DIFFERENT THINGS When my friend Samara called me today, she began by saying, “I called to say you were right.” She laughed. “There, that’s out of the way.” What she really called to discuss---I knew since I had been savoring this chance for “I told you so

Check out "Modern Chess Openings Complete," by Horowitz. Get a good 'Grandmaster' level computer program. Where do you live? There's probably a chess center if you're in any metro area of a million people, and some places much smaller have active chess communities. It's one of the few games so intrinsically satisfying that the play alone is worthy of our time, without money, fame, or any other external inducement. Good luck.

Hello Kelly! Since I was nine months old, my mother has accused me of making out with the Blarney Stone. I do love words. I literally have tens of thousands of texts already written, a few hundred of which I've sold for pitiful pittances or otherwise published through bowing my head to the insane cultural 'voluntocracy' that pervades this country. I'll be posting those, now and then, here on JoeUser, but mainly I'll be relieving som

Jamie! You hit on one of my other bugaboos. The "War on Drugs" is a war on the people of the planet, a fraud perhaps even more grotesque than the notion of protecting us from the starving hordes to whom our 'protectors' are denying food at the exact same instant they are stealing our taxes and looting our treasure. Afghanistan, now that we're back in charge of things, has reverted to the cash crop economy, meaning that poppies are plentiful

Thank you for taking the time to respond, Sherye! I'm a bloated BLOGger, that's for sure. Do you know what I mean, when I say that accomplishing anything now requires moving several processes forward simultaneously, at the same time that we can only focus on one thing at a time? I have such grand visions of audience and impact and helping and sharing. But I don't know how to help develop mechanisms and relationships that create quantum move

Dear Deference! What a great user name, first of all. You touch on points at the heart of the political palatability of current immigration policy. And, of course, you and the proponents of these precautions could be right. I take a different view. How is a "whole planet mentality" going to assume a powerful place? Pam! You are a blessing to us all. Your heart and courage enrich humanity, and surely Jeremy and every evolutionary biologist on the planet would affirm that. As a scientific concept, it describes the process by which, as practically speaking all biologists agree in some form, the evolution o

Hey there!! Here's a little challenge. Name for me, if you will, one PROFESSOR OF BIOLOGY, at a four year non-religious college or university, ANYWHERE ON OUR COMPANIONABLE PLANET, who does not believe that evolution is a crucially important component of understanding life. I don't think that such a scientist exists. It's hard to imagine such unanimity in any other field, or on any other topic. That doesn't mean they're right and you're wr
