So, what's the deal here The Deal is; If you have a legitimate product key that you recieved from Microsoft, then you may download Vista RC1 and use it. If you did not participate in the the Beta2 testing though and have not received a legitimate product key, then you will have to wait for the CCP to

Speedy you can disable UAC. Yes you can, but then you get that stupid red shield that gripes at you. Which you can then right click on it and shut it off, however the next reboot it will be right back to irritate you. If you know how to permanently disable it, I would be very interested in knowing. It
I have tested build 5536 and I must say that Microsoft has come a long way from the the pathetic to the almost useable RC1!!! The one thing that is still a veru persistent pain in the A** though is the the stupid UAC (User Account Control) That needs to made to where you can completely turn it off, without the "red shield" residing in the task lists at the bottom. Otherwise I say Yes it is a good OS and it has definitily improved!!! Speedy</
I would go with Vista Ultimate or Xp Pro 64 bit if there were support for X64 in most of the software and drivers........BUT there is NOT and I won't go with X64 anything until software makers and hardware mkers get their SH** together and get in the real world!!!!! <img src
F*** Symantec....their freaking stupid ass dumb sh**s they need to be put out of business completely!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Go Microsoft Speedy
I think I said Vista Beta 2 sucked, but if I didn't I will now. They may have changed the "under the hood" technology.....However it is still nothing more than a "Glorified XP!!!!" and it has way too many problems!!!!! Microsoft doesn't really care if it works completely or not....They will release it and it will sell like crazy!!! If they did really care about the products (And whether they are perfect or not) they release they wouldn't have to make a
The music industry would also do better by lowering the cost of a cd!!!!! The fact is that most people buy a cd for 1 or 2 songs and then maaaaaaaaaybeeeee the artist/group. That is why the music industry is losing. Same with the software industry, if they lowered their prices they would have less problems getting sales. The NEW school of sales is about making alot of money quickly.. The OLD school is still the proven way of doing things correctly. Col
I like the new FREE AOL browser way better than any I have ever tried!!! It contains IE functionality, Firefox, Netscape and all the other browsers awesome designs and combines them all into 1 browser!!!! BTW I hate AOL with everything in me, however, this is the one and only thing that AOL has ever done right!!!! Yuo can even do windows updates with it. You can't beat it as far as it's capabilities. The only thing I found to downsided about it is that
My biggest question is this; "Is AMD/ATI or the current latter of the 2, in the process of getting rid of the All-In-Wonder product line?" The reason I ask is that ATI still does not have 64 bit driver for the AIW products and none for Vista either, just the Catalyst drivers. The reply I received from ATI was they had no plans for the AIW functions with 64 bit drivers. So I hope AMD can see fit to change that. Otherwise The company(ies) can both ge
Everyone was just expressing thier opinions about what they like. No they/you were all saying, what you don't like and not even complimenting the artist on his efforts!!! Also I didn't know that I was in a contest to win friends. I Also do not put words in other peoples mouth like <TA
I really think that this is a very well done skin!!!!! The only change that i would like to see is the round start button like the one from the arrow skin. Then if you add the extra

Symantec faces $1 billion tax demand Thursday June 29, 12:41 PM EDT NEW YORK (Reuters) - Symantec Corp. (SYMC) said on Thursday it filed a petition with the U.S. Tax Court over an IRS demand that the security software maker pay $1.06 billion in back taxes and penalties related to its affiliate. The Internal Revenue Service is seeking about $758 million in back taxes owed by Veritas Software Corp.
Not worth the $20, I Live in Oklahoma and NEED weather radar!! It's cute, though not worth the money at all. The skins are nice, however it doesn't update enough and there is no info from it that I need. Better Luck next time, Speedy
My stardock central refuses to connect and I have no other way to get this!!! The sad part is that, there is no reason other than something to do with YOUR server(s) causing issues!! speedy
Researchers: Antivirus Software Has Flaw By TED BRIDIS WASHINGTON (AP) - Symantec Corp. (SYMC)'s leading antivirus software, which protects some of the world's largest corporations and U.S. government agencies, suffers from a flaw that lets hackers seize control of computers to steal sensitive data, delete files or implant malicious programs, researchers said Thursday. Symantec said it was investigating the issue but c
Symantec Products SUCK.....It's proven by me and anyone who has the smarts to use AVG.. I know a really huge software maker that is facing a potential lawsuit for incorporating a virus into their software and they are in denial of this because "we use norton a.v. professional" <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Congrats.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle
I think users will understand that as long as it's communicated effectively before hand. I'm afraid I disagree. The public is tired of spending bundles of money on new software. especially when they, don't want to, but have to . "Pay up!" you say. I say this is the reason software piracy is such a big deal. When you say "it's going to be annoying if they had no idea that going to Vista was going to mean that a noticeable chunk of their programs d
Hey all, Ok so vista is going to be the Sh**? 64 bit technology has been out for at least a year now and so far it's all blow and no go!! What i mean is that it appears to be the market trend to keep it only in the server realm. It would be cool for gamers if there was driver support for high end video and sound. None of which I have seen!! Vista (Microsoft) is making all the hype and really "under the hood" it may be better, However I HATE
And thus my point what are the advantages of Vista???? <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Con
Hey, I just bought into the Entire Object Desktop and now you want to add more to what you have. The best is ALREADY HERE!!! Don't add crappy junk, that noone wants. (Even if they do want that junk let 'em get it from the junkyards they originate at). I love stardock and want no other. One other point....don't you get what you pay for anyway, (Freeware is free thereby you got something free......) point made I hope!! You have no competition
Hey Brad, Welcome back!!!!! Driver support for high-end video (ATI) and sound (Creative) before I get any where close to excited, is what I need!! Speedy
Is it canned or fresh? LOL I was thinking rotten tuna personally, cause I know for a fact it ain't lobster!!!!!
Perhaps it may 'look' a bit that way on the 'outside'...but it's definitely not the case on the 'inside'. This isn't a GUI re-hash....it's a Kernel re-hash....quite a different kettle of fish... So what's in the pot? Salmon or goldfish?
