I''d like to disable explorer.exe because now it seems I have 2 shells running: explorer.exe and OB/OD... when I have a lot of windows opened, I see explorer.exe is using about 20 MB of memory... while I am actually not using the explorer shell... so it would save memory! it seems useless to have 2 shells.. hiding the windows startbar is what I always did... but the startbar is still in the memory, it is just not shown on the screen I''ve tried it out (disabling explor

Hi, I'm using Objectbar for the tray icons and menus for system utilities/configs and ObjectDock for launching programs... is it safe to disable the start of the explorer.exe service (winXP)?
