Personally I don't think China is a threat to the West in any way. In the event that China was to conduct major military operation aimed at overthrowing Taiwan the US would get involved and would probably be fought to a stalemate - the US couldn't destroy faster than the Chinese could reinforce and China wouldn't be able to compete with US technological superiority. So China is highly unlikely to take any military action. More likely in future years
