I would try installing Stardock Central and completing the registration that you initially used and then WB 4.6 will be available for downloading. Use this link to get Stardock Central: https://www.stardock.com/sdnet_login.asp Hope this helps you out.
Also if you click on the "Articles" tab above and then the "OS Customization" and "Tutorials" you may find answers to your questions. There are a lot of helpful answers that you can check there.

No need to pay for the cursors. You will need the CursorXP program to select and load different cursors and there is a "freeware" version here: https://www.stardock.com/products/cursorxp/downloads.asp
The trial version of WindowBlinds 5 will work for 60 days and after that time your desktop will go back to the Windows XP look. The windowblind skin you download will remain but will not work until you purchase the full version of WindowBlinds 5. Also, the PER-PIXEL alpha blending on title bars and borders will only work with the purchased version. Only the included skins with the trial version will have the per-pixel function.
Seems to be working like magic in FireFox.

As far as the FireFox jumping screen just click on "View" and "Toolbars" and un-check "Bookmark Toolbar".
After the reinstall if still not working properly post your system info from the WindowBlinds Configuration screen. A new nick would be helpful.
Save the .jar file to your hard disk then open the Themes Dialog box and drag-n-drop the .jar file on the left panel of that dialog box.

Just start dragging icons/folder etc. to the dock. To remove, drag off the dock.
The min/max/close buttons are the same for any open window. FireFox has them visible also.
Happy Birthday SK. Have a good one.
