>>when they tried to improve the taste Emoticon Man, see, there's the problem. They tried to improve the taste. In C2 they haven't messed with the taste (as far as my palate can tell). I wouldn't have had a problem if they had merely changed the taste. It would have been a new product and might have failed or might not have. My beef is this. They are (essentially) giving us the same Coke with reduced calories, carbs, and sodium.

. I read your post's title and thought that it was about that New England sensation John Kerry. Or maybe about Conneticut Governor John Rowland's new job as fry cook at the local McDonalds.

Draginol, I really felt as though the taste difference was very tiny, it at all, although I didn't drink them side by side. I'll take a blind taste test tomorrow and let you know if I can tell a difference. Normally, for the "gut reducing" ( *grin* ) aspects, I've switched over to diet pepsi, caffeine free. The caffeine is bad for the blood pressure and the lower sodium helps there too. However, being ADHD means that the caffeine doesn't do much a

Sucralose - http://www.ific.org/publications/brochures/sucralosebroch.cfm "Everything You Need to Know About Sucralose" From the article... "Sucralose is the only low-calorie sweetener made from sugar. It is about 600 times sweeter than sugar and can be used like sugar in a broad range of foods. Sucralose can be used in place of sugar to eliminate or reduce calories in a wide variety of products, including beverages, baked goods,

Kayles, the following is a list of the ingredients as listed on the can (and yes, there are some odd sweeteners)... Carbonated water, high fructose corn syrup and/or sucrose, caramel color, phosphoric acid, natural flavors, potassium benzoate (to protect taste), potasium citrate, caffeine, aspartame, acesulfame potassium, sucralose. Pepsi Edge is listed as having sucralose as well. This must be the magic ingredient.

I have just seen my first web-ad for "Pepsi Edge" -- http://www.pepsiedge.com/home.php Coming soon - 8 oz, 50 calories, 13g carbs, 13g sugar, 25 mg sodium. -- Now, let's multiply by 50% for a fair analysis against C2. 12 oz - 75 calories, 19.5g carbs, 19.5g sugar, 37.5 mg sodium. Hmmm... Only wins out in the sodium arena. Not much at the website for the nonce.

I just bought one of the new C2 Coke's at the local Target in the nifty 8-pack. Further, the vending machine upstairs now carries C2 as well as "straight" Coke. Nutritionally, C2 seems to have it going on. Calories fall from 140 to 70, total carbs from 39g to 18g, sugar from 39g to 18g (guess where the carbs come from...), and sodium from 50mg to 45mg. My informal

Much of the so-called "dialect" is actually common English phases mutated in a fast-forward way. The phrase "mad props" comes from two English phrases... 1. To give proper respect to one's superiors or elders -> give proper's -> props 2. Mad is a derivative of very and of cool (which is a derivative of good) Thus, to give mad props is to pay a great amount of respect to the object of your admiration (peeps, homeys, etc) <br

I still cry when I realize that I can't go back through the wardrobe, that I've gotten too old. Also, from the last book, "Higher up and higher in" is my view of Heaven. The more people there, the bigger it becomes.

I did not fault you for writing it. I faulted you for saying it was funny. Indeed, I have a clue, and it seems I may have yours There are subjects where satire is acceptable. Canada could have cheaper gas if it produced 1/2 of its gas like the USA does. So, the fact that your gas is high is your own choosing. The USA on the other hand has higher gas prices forced on us by foreigners, which gets in our craw. That said, we all need to do something to reduce our gas consumption, Canadians and Americans alike. I'm personally driving a Honda Civic at 38+ mpg highway, and my Toyota Sienna van has touched on 30 mpg o

Hi, Debhart. I didn't include the link directly, but the last link for the tests (the "if you" words links to ADDHelpLine which has links to the Amen Clinic tests. However, your comment and my response might highlight these tests even further. The Amen Clinic enjoys a fine reputation due to Dr. Amen's writing and extensive research into ADD/ADHD physiology of the brain. Their testing, their webpage, and book

ADD is an elusive condition that is hard to identify in children and harder to identify in adults. It is similar in nature to other conditions and has many of its symptoms masked or modified by other (comorbid) ailments. After 30 years or so of active study several reliable methods of identifying ADD in children have been developed. These usually involve a substant

Are soft lenses out of the question? I've been wearing disposable soft lenses for the last 8 years or so and I love them. You are supposed to leave them in overnight, remove them once per week for cleaning and eye rest, then throw them away every two weeks or so. I admin that I usually stretch the time limits, but I'm rarely uncomfortable with them. Only bad thing is that Accuview, my lense manufacturer, only makes them up to a -9 power. my vision

Ah, the fabulous Doctor Laura letter: Q. 7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here? A. Methinks it's been awhile since you've been near the temple... Most of these rules were given specifically to the Jews and do not apply to others (read _us_). They
