DIsclaimer - sometime in grade 11/12 I was talking to Tegan about 2 essays I had to write for Ancient History - my friends once discussed the fact that the best way for me to learn stuff wasto put it to lyrics of a song or into a movie - because I have a knack for remembering whole paragraphs of movie script after seeing it once maybe twice - definitely more Th

not to be personal (or too personal) mig but aren't there like age and salary requirements to adopt (which is kinda stupid because any idiot can have a baby and get the government to pay them - hey they deposited $600 in our account last week just because we had a baby) And isn't there like a million year waiting list?
are you a ruler or tape measure mig - you know feet, inches, centimetres etc
My mum uses msn too - the other day she msn'd to tell me "dad's really sick" (i wish I'd kept the conversation to paste here - but apparently my da caught some bug off my grandfather and his new wife at their wedding in Newcastle and brought it back with him. And sometime in the last 2 months my sister got glandular fever.) These are the things that she likes to tell me online. Oh and so&so's funeral is on at this time and do I want to go <
Mig - you're not far off - have you ever made farex and sweet potato - it's gross (to me Nick tells me it's nice) and it has to be in this not quite soup not quite solid form and ends up being really sticky. The very amusing thing is when she decides to suck her thumb while waiting for the next spoon - and then wipe her hands on the closest thing - oh wait that's me - very messy Dharm - *shrugs* sometime after we get the difficult vegetables o
carrot and sweet potato (I read somewhere that those to American's are yams? but since you're English you'd know sweet potato) Yeah hated both of them - started to like the 4month cereal but we ran out and she was 6months so I started her on the 6month farex last week and she eats it but she doesn't like it - and she'll only happily eat the morning bowl mixed with her formula as opposed to the afternoon bowl mixed with sweet potato and water.<
Nick's mum was also a bottom shuffler. Nick walked at 7months and ran at 8. My mum can't remember anything about what I did despite the fact she didn't go back to work until 2 years after my sister was born which was 4 years after she had me - so I was 6 - but she remembers NOTHING - it's very helpful *not* Yeah thanks Dharm - it's on the list
For some obsurd reason for the first few weeks we were against dummys (pacifier) and so Elana sucked on our finger when she wasn't hungry - that got old fast and we bought 2 dummies exactly the same incase she dropped one aand it needed sterilising etc. We had a really difficult period from about 6pm to 11pm for the first few days I guess - it felt like months - my husband had an office chair that rocked if it was unlocked - I used to swaddle Elana
Okay my 6month old Elana intimidates me and here's why she's a BOTTOM SHUFFLER She's just discovered in the last few days that the bobbing up and down on the spot we used to think was dancing can actually get her around - she's fast too she could be on the other side of the room in a few minutes. We haven't bought a high-chair - w
Alvin and the Chipmunks!! Teenage mutant ninja turtles was the best cartoon series EVER and have you seen the rip job they're doing to it now same with astroboy - i loved Astroboy as a kid but the new ones suck Monkey rocked - I watched it with my dad - but I watched the Young Ones with my dad too. Cartoons I loved growing up - the Smurfs, the Snorks, the Jetsons, The Flintstones, Flintstone Kids, Penolope Pitstop, Raggey
Dharma I'm so jealous - You dozed for 45minutes - I wish I could have fallen asleep - was it the drugs? Do they make you sleepy? Is that what I did wrong? No drugs- I was begging to go to sleep - I was begging to go home - I actually tried to walk out at one stage - it was about 7pm I think (I'd been at hospital since 5pm) Nick brought me back just as another contraction paralysed me to the spot I was at. Elana was out at 1:21am and even after it w
I'm the total opposite - when I was 10 I decided to stop eating meat because "killing animals is wrong" - I lasted a week! I just don't lie vegetables that much and I like steak, chicken, lamb and pork too much -- although it all has to be cooked well - no blood and I won't eat rabbit, duck, venison, etc I'd just eat chops by themselves as a snack if Nick would let me
oh Jamie you can't be serious about any of those names can you? Tara and Jack are nice (too normal for me though - one of my stipulations was that my child wouldn't be the 3rd Britney or referred to as Matt P as opposed to Matt B, D and Z) Tara something Rae and Jack something Rae both work - if that helps
WoW Even with a husband at home who's very hands on and helpful having a baby is really hard - Goodluck. I had a little girl six months ago - my first - I'm definitely no expert on anything but if I can I'd like to help if you have any questions - Joeuser is great for questions about parenting - there's lots of parents on here. Plus I'm not American but one of the best resources I've had as a new mum and before as a pregnant
We went through a baby book while waiting for the contractions to get stronger - we already had some ideas but the names literally jumped of the page at us. Do you like any of the names your Aunt has suggested? We decided against naming after family members - simply because someone was bound to feel left out and we'd end up with 12 names for a tiny baby So we went with what we thought sounded pretty, meant something nice and
Milo is essentially a chocolate malt powder that you put in cold milk and it floats on top and tastes yummy must e eaten with a spoon can also be made with hot water/milk and drank like hot chocolate sprinkled over icecream or weetbix they now make milo bars and milo biscuits - which is weird Milo is like Ovaltine -- but better - more granulated and you can eat it with a spoon very easily
I think I've just become pro-life no matter what. I used to be "I believe abortion is wrong except for ..........." How can anyone condone a partial birth abortion and not call it murder - I feel really really sick - excuse me while I just go stand in the doorway of my 6month old daughters room and thank God for her and stare in wonderment how anyone could do such a thing <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 c
Frankly I find "instant" coffee an abomination.. God's 11th Commandment should have been "Thou shalt not drink powered coffee" Companies like International Roast, Maxwell House and Pablo - as well as Homebrand, Savings etc should be ashamed of themselves.. I know they make the rubbish they call coffee for people economically challenged but hone
Questions Second Set: What is your unfulfilled sexual fantasy: I don't think I have one - although I've never actually HAD full sex in a public place..... - but now that I'm a mother I'm far too responsible to try Where is the best place you ever had sex: Swimming pool middle of Summer very late at night if you had a million dollars what would you do with it? how would you spend it? Buy a house I could renovate, take
You know the traditional role of God-parents is to be responsible for the child spiritually -- make sure he/she know's God. Their other responsibilty traditionally is they're the ones who'll look after the child if something happens to the parents - because they're usually responsible friends or family members of a siilar age to the parents and the grandparents were often too "old" to look after their grandchild in the event of someone's death -- plus
Excellent!!!!!
I read alot about the Jon Benet case - I was mortified and fascinated at the same time - at this time I wanted to be a lawyer or a crimologist - I was a BIG fan of cop shows I digress the following is from a website Link This website deals with the death of Jon Benet Ramsey (Boulder Colorado - USA). Jon Benet Ramsey, a child of 6, was brutally murdered - through strangling an
Teegs -- see Dharma's article "what's the skinny with anorexic looking chicks" Link She basically asked the same question a couple months ago and got a few good responses Curvaceously yours... or not? you
Yeah but the first NON Victorian team to win 3 in a row let alone 4! Okay so I watch the swimming - but I resent being called a weirdo for not liking the olympics - my former history teacher competed in the 2000 olympics - hurdles I think it was but don't quote me - Blair Young - he didn't place. I used to watch WCW on TNT - I liked Kevin Nash and the NWO --- but I too am shutting up now
I feel the same way -- like Belle in the Beast's library in disney's Beauty & the Beast -- I'd love to have a library like that. With a spiral staircase like the one in My Fair Lady. *shades - you mentioned "sushi for beginners" on Edmund Falgui's questions blog - I borrowed that from the library today - this last month I've been reading everything Marian Keyes - so far I've read Watermelon and Lucy Sullivan & I got The Other Side of the Story
