x5xKilla4Lifex5x, It only seems complicated at first. Once you have done it a few times, it becomes easy and you will gain a better understanding of what you are doing and why. First, you will want to click "Save" in the window that pops up after clicking "download", then another window should pop-up allowing you to browse to where you want to save the file to. I usually save to the "My Documents" folder (this is known as "Saving to d

mikecro63, I am running version 2.40.035 and all is well. The widgets all work, I can load themes and objects which all load and list correctly, and I can create themes. Are you running the newest alpha 2.40c(a).002 version? If so, you might have better luck going to SDCentral and uninstalling the current version without selecting "Delete all files including skins, themes and saved games" option. You may be required

Milanga, After starting your computer, load (start) DesktopX, right click the icon in the system tray and select "Configure DesktopX...". Under the "General" tab, click the "new" button in the "Theme" section, and then select "no" in the next two dialog boxes that pop-up (one will ask about saving the current theme, and the other will ask if you want to reset theme settings). This should give you a clean slate to work with. N

Paul, These videos just get better and better. Looking forward to the whole series. A "yes, please" vote on the contour tool here, that was very cool the way you just drew up that text. Thank you

Very fun. I find my focus (outside of remembering where all the tools are, and which one to use for any given task) needs to be on practicing my "sculpting" skills. This is a fabulous way to design and CorelDRAW fits right into this technique (or is it sculpting that fits into CorelDRAW?). Again, Paul, thank you for being so kind and sharing these invaluable skills. Downloading the video now, can't wait. Thanks, Teac

It all adds up over time, so one might as well add some measure of integrity to one's actions so that if and/or when called upon, one can answer with confidence. As in any training, what we practice is what we do in serious situations. I have been on both sides of this one, and chose to make conscious choices to do the right thing and listen to my heart and mind together when confronted with unfair situations. I am a mellow person by

Elixabeth, DesktopX, Sysmetrix, and Rainmeter all do this job. They do not change the actual clock in your system tray, but provide the option to display a clock on your desktop (analog and digital). The DesktopX and Sysmetrix librarys have a link to each website (found just under the search text box in each library), where you can download the program. The link to Rainy's website is <a href="http://www.ipi.fi/~rainy

Well, my mother (before she passed) called my father "Orc" - no reference to Tolkien's creatures mind you, but rather short for "Orcutt" which is our last name. Somehow, when I was born the nickname "Corky" was decided upon (probably the practical progression from "Orc"). Early years in school proved to be a great playground for making fun of names and "Corky Orcutt" must have been - Ohhhh - in the top 5. Ah, the dramatic learning moments of y

See "Lantec's" comments #1 and #4 in your previous post. If you copy the skin files mentioned in #1 to a safe place and follow the steps in #4, you should be up and running in no time. If you don't see your skins in WB config after upgrade, just copy skin files back to the "WindowBlinds" folder that is found in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Object Desktop" folder (this assumes that "C" is the letter for your local drive containing your pr

I prefer a Stout to a Port, but a Port will do in a pinch ... Oh! That's a brew issue. If I may, I would pose the question: "If one had no idea how to skin or create graphics, would one care whether the skin available were a port or an original?". I think the answer is - "no". I will admit that I do have a bit of an ego, so I would love to be

No complaints getting a bonus pack here. This is just great. To have this as a resource for study (I did invest in CorelDRAW), is priceless as far as I am concerned. These tutorials really give someone like myself a chance to not only learn some techniques for drawing, but also provide invaluable practice with the tools of the program. Can't thank you enough, so I will keep practicing and use the skills to give back to the co

Cody-7, I tried to reproduce your problem on my machine and could not (Running XP Pro with IP version 2.50h.087). You could try the following: 1. Under Tools menu - use "repair icon images, and rebuild icon cache" 2. Uninstall and download again - I get an automatic install now, though I am currently unclear whether this is a user level or software benefit. If you get the automatic install, the IP panel in your image
