I have yet to rate anything (though I have tried quite a number of WBlinds), because I am new (about 10 months) and certainly can't tell just by looking at a WB, DXtheme, etc. I may in time rate a few icon packages, or widgets as I gain experience, but for the time being will just recommend skins I have used for a while and that I know are reasonably stable, have nice graphics, and are most importantly able to display a majority of the softwar

Paul, I can't thank you enough, so thanks for today's lesson. Also, thank you very much for showing the settings on the "X" gradient, that one might be hard to figure out without the visual clues. I look forward to these each day, and I am currently reading the "CorelDRAW 12 Official Guide Book" by Steve Bain as a companion to these tutorials to get a fairly clear understanding of the program basics. I have used Illu

steesu, Sorry, I did not understand you were using the free version. I would not have included the instructions for the full suite and given you TMI. I should know better than to not ask first. Good luck with your search, though I don't think there is a better suite of programs available anywhere. Peace.

Thanks for the temporary link, and the great daily tutorial. I ran into the bug too, trying to upload some icons I made with Photoshop (until I learn CorelDRAW, which seems a bit more in line with my style for the making of icons and other graphics). Hope to upload a package sometime this year made completely in CorelDRAW, maybe even a WB if I get the hang of it. Thanks, Teach. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/W

Did you delete the "ObjectDock Plus" folder from "C:\Documents and Settings\"user account"\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock" directory before reinstall? This is where your previous settings are stored and may be where the problem is (if you are running XP, don't forget to go to "Tools>Folder Options>View tab" and select "Show hidden files and folders" before navigating to folder). I don't run docklets on my docks, just widgets

I just create my own folders in the ObjectDock folder, just like the images one that comes with the program. Then I can place different theme images or icons I have converted to PNG files in their respective folders (i.e. - Office, Utopia, Oxidized, Cryo64, Adobe, Pauls work, etc.). Then when I go to "Change image", I just click one of the folders and it displays just that folders contents. This works really well for me, hope

Still hoping for an address book (linked to Outlook if possible) with simple entry and display windows. If I ever manage to learn enough coding, I might be able to make my own, but something tells me connecting to Outlook cleanly might be a huge undertaking for even the best of coders. I can still hope though.

I use a program called "Snag-It" (about $40), but I believe there are some free programs out there. You might try download.com and search for one of them.

You really tied it together with the video techniques and the tutorial today, Paul. I definitely feels like a true class. Thanks so much, and looking forward to home study, the rest of the series, and of course any packages made for sale in the future.

SD, nice one. Gotta tune in for this one if it's on. BTW - sbgFX, if your walls are an example of your Photoshop abilities, I would certainly consider you in the top tier. Fantastic walls, man.

steesu, No problem, I will help if I can. It seems that a number of people are having some issues with not being able to load themes with Theme Manager. First, I mentioned the user account because software must be installed with an administrator level account. If you are the only one using the computer, or you have not set up any other user accounts there is no need to concern yourself with the user account differences. <

Thanks for the invite, SD. Will e-mail if I am out that way attending a seminar. Perhaps you could share some arts with me, I am considered a good Uke. Meanwhile, here's to ya with a cup'o jo.

Great videos and icon, Paul. Definitely feel like I am building a little resource treasure to learn tool and technique basics, while allowing me to figure some things out as I use them. Question: You may cover this in the layers video, but in the export video you mentioned that the 1.28 x 1.28 box designating the icon boundries was set to some sort of layer. Could you clarify that one? Another question would be (if I
