You will need to have the appropriate programs installed. This will depend on which library you downloaded from. If it was the DesktopX library, then you will need at least the DesktopX program installed. You can go to the "Software" tab at the top of the page, which will provide links to the information/download pages for the various programs. If you want to leave a link to the desktop you are referring to (simply go to that desktop and click the "More Details"

For backgrounds to take effect, the background image must be in the skin folder when using WB 4.5. If the author did not include any background image, there will be none applied. For icons, you must have IconPackager installed, although I have yet to see these apply globally via WB. vista will still be a nice winxp. Unfortunately, this is not correct. The graphics driving code is completely different. This is just one of the differences. I'll comment a bit. I would agree to some extent that the track record has shown some projects to be long in the showing after the initial notification. I tend to think of the announcements as a "FYI", or "For Your Information" within a community instead of a concrete promise. The thing is that I don't have a downloaded file to save on a CD, just in case You can make an "Archive" of IconPackager. This will allow you to install that version of IconPackager in the future using Stardock Central. Thanks, ID. Beta 3 is much faster, especially the phishing filter function. It does have some issues with scripting some sites (parts of Adobe for one), but this may be due to the sites not meeting the IE7 requirements (to be expected with beta releases and timing). The final release should be a huge improvement over IE6, and tabbed browsing is always a good thing.
