It appears to me that the Stats page still shows the download count on stuff that has been deleted but the My Skins page does not. I can see this because my Stats page shows 2k downloads on screenshots but I have only one screenshot currently showing in the database with about 36 downloads. So...the Stats page always shows about 2000 more downloads than the My Skins page. Could this be what Kona & Meowy are seeing?
Microsoft lists Bootskin as one of the programs that won't work with SP2. I would suggest you contact Stardock support to see if there is any workaround.
I agree about the forced download of all those skins. If I wanted the skin, I already have it. I edit nearly every skin I download to suit my particular taste (or lack thereof), and have to change the directory names on my versions to keep the downloads from writing over my changes. I am on dial-up, and this wastes an awful lot of my time. We had the option to download the skins or not on Component Manager and Stardock should restore that feature.
When I saw your post yesterday, I rummaged thru my skin collection. I couldn't find it and I download almost anything that's orange if it's at all decent. So...my best guess is: a) It was never posted on WC or b) It's been re-colored Sorry I couldn't help.
00, most people have personal information on their computers, passwords, registration numbers, etc. that would be best not to turn loose "in the wild". That's why I suggested uninstalling progs & erasing the disk area. Didn't mean to step on your toes.
Formatting doesn't really destroy the data...There are a number of tools that can recover after a format. I would uninstall all proggies except Windows and use eraser (or something similar) available free at http://www.tolvanen.com/eraser/ I don't think you can format from a Win98 floppy if you are using the NTSF file system.
With your approach, even if it takes a year, it will be worth the wait. Best of luck and I will look forward to your creations.
Re-install IconPackager, restore your icons to Windows defaults (Tools/Restore all icons) on the drop down menu. Then uninstall IconPackager. If you uninstall without restoring the icons, you leave pointers in the registry to icons that no longer exist on your system, so Windows shows the default icon. Hope this helps.

You can change the skins directory for IconPackager to where ever you want it. Windowblinds skins have to be below the Windowblinds directory. To get around this problem, I installed all of the Stardock stuff on my E Drive. My C Drive is just the Operating system and system utilities. There are a few files under C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock. but no significant volumne.

The last update was in 2002 but I use it on a regular basis. The only caveat is if the icl is over about 15mb, IconShop will corrupt it. #1-Icon Sizes: When I download an IP, I like to see XP icon sizes 128-96-72-64-48-32-24-16. If the extra icons for the older operating systems are included, there should be 256 color icon sizes 48-32-24-16. 16 color icons are hideous and almost nobody needs them anymore. (I delete them if included). I also delete true color icons because Windows can be lazy and show them instead of the XP icons. (You lose the shadows)
I used AVG free for a couple of years but the new version messed up my e-mail (couldn't access it). Didn't want to spend hours figuring out how to configure it so I uninstalled it and installed Avast. This one seems really good but is a bit more invasive and heavy on resources than I like. Thinking about disabling the resident scanner. It seems like overkill. I've had a computer and been online since 1989 and never had a virus. <img
My right click doesn't skin anymore either. I run WB IP and IconX. I know IconX is the culprit (if unloaded the right click skinning comes back), but I have no solution...But to answer your question, I don't think you've done anything wrong.
Well, my "easy critic" has turned into 5 stars! I probably haven't given more that 3-4 "10" ratings in the almost four years I've been coming to this site. Something is definitely odd about this. Guess I need to go out and bash some skins to get rid of the "Easy". (just kidding)

If you updated with Objectbar loaded, some of the dlls may not have changed. What happens when you reboot?
Under "File" on the menubar in IconPackager, choose "Zip File" and IconPackager will create the .ip file.
And another thing, what version of IconPackager are you using? If you have the 2.20 or earlier, it cannot read the encrypted .iptheme file that is in use for the 2.50 version. The only way I know of that it would work is to build the theme yourself in Package Builder (under view in the drop down menu)
I had the same problem. It hosed all of my ObjectBars. Spent 2 days fixing them and now the updated skins won't work on Win2k on the 1.65 version. Maybe the next beta will be better. Going back to the 1.65 version might be the best option for you.
Did you uninstall the free version and reboot before installing the retail version? Sometimes it causes problems if you don't. Try changing your menu setting to not classic. I'm at work on W2k and can't remember what the other menu is called (XP Menu?). Right click the start button and try changing that option to see if it helps.
Go to package builder (under view) on the drop down menu and select the icons you want to package. Then give it a name and save.
