Great to see you back blogging. You are a wonderful fiction writer. Keep it up.!

So glad to know you are on your way home. I dreamed of your return last night. You were in your dress uniform coming on the bus to wherever I was. When I woke, I had to laugh. I have never seen you in dress uniform. Hey, come as you are and thanks for doing what you were trained for and also for your efforts to shake the dust of Iraq from your feet.
My dear, you have learned a lot! WOW!
This is not funny, but you wrote this so well, I could feel your frustration.. Have you been praying lately for an increase in the virtue of patience? I have found that when I have prayed for patience, I invariably get a myriad of opportunities to practice it. I am missing the Wanderers blogs, but I can understand that he has more important things to attend to now that he is back home.
So happy you are feeling better. Did you get my e-mail? Need to know how to contact you.
Congratulations on a job well done. It is great to read about a young person such as yourself, who takes pride in his work. I would have loved a tour and it would be wonderful to visit Monterey again. Keep up the good work.
In high school, you used to drink Jolt which was considered high voltage then. I hardly ever drink anything with caffeine in it unless I get a rare headache. It always brings instant relief. I can remember a line from Oscar Levant said during Prohibition days. I thought might be appropriate here: "I envy people who drink ( any addictive drink , my emphasis). At least they know what to blame everything on." Happy Highs to you
Ah! Another gaget to add to our vast store of stuff! Our toy boxes get pretty full. Is life any better because of all these things? I doubt it. If you get one, greywar, give me a call.
Very interesting article. How appropriate on this day of Pentecost to read this as a comment to your article. "However, to see a group of people at a table, each speaking a different language, and all understanding what each other is saying, that is almost non existent... but it is a daily occurance and DLI... and the people at the table don't think anything of it." I forgot to note the name of the commentor. <img src="../images
Maye he is smarter than you think...maybe he had eyes in the back of his head and saw what you had written... Beware!
Among my treasurers, I have wonderful pictures of many of my ancestors. As the self-appointed family historian, I also have a collection of their life stories that have revealed some outstanding achievements, some dreadful miseries, and some terrible misfortunes. Looking back I see a picture of life. It always have some wonderful highs and many woeful lows.
The organization of the church is always slow to accept ideas that may seem to be in conflict with Christ's teaching or its own interpretations of it. It has had to backtrack many times in its condemnation of an individual's ideas. It is a human church and does and will continue to make mistakes. I am not crazy about the idea of cloning, stem cell research that might include advocating the abortion of innocent babies, but I am certainly not in a positi
greywar, thanks for your compliment about being able to frame a theological argument. But you do know that I am in no way a debater. That is not my gift. I am a believer. That faith gift is one that I have treasured since a very young age. I have grown in faith in my long life. I once took everything without question. I thought blind obedience, blind faith was the true characteristic of a firm believer. Through the years, I have learned that is not
greywar, your humorous comments remind me that you are a true desendant of your grandma. She, too, had a way with succinct, witty retorts. Love you! How about a lengthy call. I am still savoring the last call...well over a month ago!
EstrogenLass, I admire you for even bothering to research whatever interests you. In my opinion, one does have to look at a person's record to try to analyse what that person might be inclined to bring to the table, but there is another factor that should be kept in mind. If we do not allow for growth and maturity in a person, we are sure to short-change that person. We will be prejudiced in our conclusions. I would hate to think people who know me no
Oh, thank you, for not delinking me! I will try to be more communicative. I am truly repentant.
Interesting article. I had to look up a good many words in my trusty WordWeb desktop dictionary. According to that source, Transhumanism is an emergent philosophy analysing or favouring the use of science and technology, especially neurotechnology, biotechnology, and nanotechnology, to overcome human limitations and improve the human condition. in general. That is the message of the Gospel. Jesus did everything possible to improve the human co
Reiki=House, Isn't it easy to look for the bad in every situation? Haven't we all done stupid things in our youth and even yesterday? Our first Pope was no saint to begin with. He denied even knowing the Man who walked with him for 3 years. A God-man who did no evil, not even once. This Pope will not be perfect either but he is a man of principles. Some of his past statements, I don't always agree with, but I am not all tha
Thanks shades of gray, Not to worry. Who know what good will come. No matter what...just remember...this too shall pass!
As I turn on the TV from time to time, I see people who have traveled from far off places, standing and watching to see if white smoke will soon emanate from that little chimney in the Vatican. I wonder what possesses them to make such a journey to see what I can see from the comfort of my own home. Granted it is an historic moment in time. For younger peopl
Read your e-mail for my comments.
Congratulations! Please check you email for an article about Balad and an heroic story of our soldiers and some Iraqi soldiers. It is probably not news to you, but for me it made me cry and yet swell with pride for all you men who are serving your country in whatever capacity.
Thanks, ES. It was the saddest, hardest spot in my life to see what mental illness can do to a person and their families. It did give me a deep sense of empathy for others. Until that time, other's misfortunes did not really strike me too deeply. It did mature me somewhat.
Wow! Very perceptive. Now that I think about it, I have been guilty of this...all in the name of charity.
Hi greywar! Good to see you again. I went to Google to learn more about Hajj. I found this link. http://www.ummah.net/hajj/pics/ Very interesting!
